2007 VW Touareg 3.6 V6 Timing Repair Part 1 "Removing The Engine"

In this video we start the timing repair on our 2007 Volkswagen Touareg 3.6 V6 by removing the complete engine, transmission, transfer case including the front sub-frame in order to repair and/or replace the worn timing components including the timing chains, tensioners, guides and more. It took us a total of about 5 hours to remove the engine , transmission , and transfer case.

I'll be removing the engine & transmissions on both our V10 TDI's as well, after doing it the first time it's definitely the best way to work on these Touareg's... Good luck with yours!

V10 weight a ton compared. Might cause a challenge.

V10 TDI uses gears and not a chain.

Great videos split in 3 parts, preparing mentally myself to get started with my 3.2😅 vr6 for timing kit change...And thermostat ... Its could be faster with some electric torque wrench...

How many miles when this happend?

It had around 152,000 miles on it when we got it in this condition. The previous owner said they had been driving it like that for a while. Thanks for watching!
