I have the 2005 version. Great bike out here in the West. You can cruise all day in comfort. The bike is heavy which is a great feature here in the West as it's often very windy. The bike handles that wind very well. Very comfortable ride with the air shocks. The engine being a 4 cylinder is very smooth with about 100 h.p. I think the pipes have been punched out. Mine are. The bike shifts very nice. You will get a whine from the cut gears, but not bad. I usually wear ear plugs so I don't hear it at all. I cut the windshield down a bit as It was too tall for my tastes. I have taken my bike on many long rides of many thousands of miles. It just gets up and goes and does not break down. The carbs are great as they have heaters if it's cold and starts up easy with a choke adjustment. The only drawback is when you are over 10000 feet up in the mountains you notice the loss of power, but not enough where you can't get to speed, it just takes longer to get to that speed. The brakes work great but make sure you check your pads often as with the heavy bike I go through a lot of rear brake pads. I am changing them out now. It does have a cassette player that I rarely use, but it does have an auxiliary input where I connect my phone and listen to music that way. It has a CB unit as well. Sometimes I will listen to the truckers on the highway, but usually not very often.
