The MotoFab 2-Inch Front Leveling Kit was designed to provide a true level lift for your Chevy Silverado 1500. You can rely on the quality and innovation of these spacers that are the best on the market today. They provide an excellent lift in your truck and were made to prevent cracking over time, unlike welded spacers that tend to crack.
The manufacturer uses precision machining to ensure that the spacers will have a perfect fit in your Silverado. They are made to last with durable billet aluminum to ensure long-lasting performance value. A heavy-duty black powder-coated finish is used, matching the OEM suspension.
No strut and coil disassembly are required with this basic installation process. You can complete the installation with general hand tools and moderate mechanical knowledge in approximately 1½ - 2 hours. All the necessary mounting hardware and an instruction guide is included to facilitate the installation.
The manufacturer provides customers with a limited lifetime warranty covering craftsmanship defects. Some limitations apply. For additional details, please review all the manufacturer’s warranty information. The MotoFab 2-Inch Front Leveling Kit is designed to fit all 2007-2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 models. amtrucks.at/2RTIXml

Also a Good idea If you're going to go with the level kit, you should also get the aftermarket upper Arm from rough country. Its specifically designed to make up for that extra length caused by the spacer. It takes pretty much all the added stress off that upper arm ball joint.

If you plan on doing this lift, a coil compressor is an invaluable asset to this job. I don’t work on vehicles often enough to be fast so this took me right over 4 hours to do by myself. I’d say this is more of a 1 wrench install though. One problem I faced was my sway bar on the first side was in its original position so I had to use a pry bar to pull it down a lot, and on the other side it was too far down so I used the pry bar to pull it up.

Don't do it!!! I added leveling spacers to my new 2017 GMC Sierra and it nearly destroyed my front end. The spacers change the geometry and add serious stress to multiple parts of your suspension. Ended up with nearly $1600 worth of repairs before I removed the spacers. All of this damage before I had 11,000 miles on my truck--nearly all highway and city driving. Very light off-roading. Had to replace two CV axles, control arm and control arm bushings, etc. And, of course, this happened at different times when I was traveling. Left me stranded for a few days. Add in hotel costs. Bottom line, don't take the cheap route. Forget spacers. Spend the extra $ and lift your suspension the right way.

You need to make sure that the upper strut mount needs to be turned 180 degrees so it lines up so your three bolts that mount in The Fray line up correctly in the bottom of your shock lines up correctly that it turns the whole shock will turn with the strut mount
@marksellas5080

Agree, but i figured it out. the angle of the strut to where it connects to the LCA will be reversed due to the spacer flipping the way the strut mounts. Put the strut in a vise, bottom down and use a pry bar to twist the bolts 180 degrees. The bottom will stay put and the bolts will rotate to line up for the upper strut mount and the bottom will now have the right angle to fit on the LCA

Only complaint I have (and it's not with the kit itself) is that when I installed this on my 2017 Sierra 1500 All Terrain, my truck came with 275/55 R20 tires, my wheel offset stock is +27 although the site says truck should have come with +25. Hard over while reversing causes the edge of the wheel and tire to rub/grind against the front of the upper control arm. My truck has the stamped steel arms opposed to the forged or aluminum. I could add a wheel spacer, but once it comes time to replace tires, I'll get new 18" wheels with a 0 offset. Oddly enough, my 17" winter tires and spare don't rub at all, just due to the offset.

Yes but it doesn’t work as good as you would think, I tried and it didn’t change much, the best way to go about it is to bolt the bottom in first and then push it to the coil over bucket

@Oops Oops they come in most leveling kits so they shouldn't be too bad. As for as the "pucks" that go on top I've seen people running those for a while now. I currently have those on my 2009 4runner and they're fine so far but I want more height to the front. Both my vehicles sit really low in the front

I've been doing a lot of homework on this and the general consensus is that extra 1" comes at a cost in terms of wear and tear. I think I might go with the 2.5" because I still see a tiny bit of rake in this.

A mechanic lifted our 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 4x4. Recently while making turns the front wheels are 'skipping' on the roadway, what is causing this. Took it to a mechanic, they see nothing wrong.

Thank-you for the thumbs up. Can you answer my question? We are so upset spending so much to a pro for the lift that is causing this skipping on turns.
@YoungMantv
@YoungMantv Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by skipping? Is it literally jumping up and down or does it feel like there is resistance and then it gives and then more resistance in perfect increments? More than likely either you’re tires are rubbing and hitting the wheel well/ fender or the control arm/ suspension compression system is off somewhere causing it to behave erratically
@ephesian2894

@@YoungMantv it only happens making a sharp, slow turn, like when turning into a parking spot. Hope this helps, I forgot to clarify.

2" spacers likely won't put much added stress on the ball joints. Anything more than that, probably need to swap out the upper arms. At that point it's not much more expensive to just get a 3" lift kit
