Parts list for this job:
M365HV Melling oil pump
Melling oil pickup tube
Cam sprocket - GM genuine
Cam thrust plate - Melling
Timing chain - Melling
Timing chain tensioner - Melling
Oil pan pressure relief valve - GM genuine
Oil pan pressure relief valve deflector - GM genuine
Oil pan gasket
Water pump gaskets
Oil control valve - Melling
Also, sorry I mentioned the oil pickup tube is torqued at 106 ft lbs and that’s actually wrong, it’s 106 INCH POUNDS. Here is a link to the toque specifications I followed: ls1tech.com/forums/attachment...

Yeah I’m pulling my motor out doing cam bearings rod bearing main bearing and also taking the motor to a machine shop I’m going all out I need my truck to last for a while just got new lifters I went with melling lifters and also went with comp cam cam shaft and better springs well hopefully everything goes well I’ll post here on KZfaq when I pull the motor out and show you the process

Cadillac should have provided a oil pressure gauge on the escalade.

Melling makes a fork adapter for the oil pickup tube to have equal tension on the tube. I put one in my escalade. Chevy design fail allowing the o-ring to potentially bypass air, and that's not great for the internals.

Did it stall with the code? Mine warms up slow down idle goes down to 400 rpm then stalls becomes crank no start until it cools off

I have this problem as well. I heard the solution is to replace the camshaft position sensor and the camshaft adjuster magnet (and its gasket). Also should check wiring/continuity/resistance for related sensor wires. If you fix that and it doesn't fix your problem, then do a timing job, replace the oil pump, and do what the guys in this video did (replace oil pickup tube, clean out oil pan, etc). @michahoffman4148 @philh9238

Hello! What was the mileage of the car? At what mileage is it better to change the chain and pump? Do I have to change the lid to a new one?

Around 300,000 miles. Depends how you drive and maintain the vehicle. You can change the timing chain anytime after 150K miles I’d say if you want to be safe. … change the lid?🤔 I don’t understand that question

I seen this other guy on KZfaq he was getting the same codes we was getting po11 and traction light come on he put everything new like you did but he did new timing chain new oil pump new vvt sprocket new vvt bolt and oil pump just like you did and he said he drove it and he kept getting the code again then his next move was to replace cam bearings and cam and that was his fix

Haven’t seen a code yet. The traction light blipped a few times, actually twice ✌️ which could’ve been from other factors, other than that she’s been running great.💯💯👍

Before I did all this work to it yes, the truck was throwing STABILITRAK codes intermittently.. after I completed all this work the truck has been running like new ever since. One thing I’ll recommend for the 6.2 LS is to use WIX XP oil filters. If I’m not mistaken I’m pretty sure the WIX XP filters were engineered to run with the GM LS engines because of the lower idle oil pressure.. the pressure relief valve in the WIX XP filters is a lower setting than other oil filters like Purolator boss that’s set around 22psi. Truck runs noticeably better when I run WIX XP oil filters and now that’s all I run 👌👍

If you change all the stuff and it doesn’t fix it, I know exactly what it is ask me and I’ll tell you I had the same issue changed everyone of these pieces with all GM parts and none of it fixed the pressure issue no it isn’t the camshaft bearings either.

After changing all these things I’ve put about another 10,000 miles on it as it is my daily driver and 30 minute trip each way and the truck is still holding up. What did you change?

@@rezcarguyz26 Was the lower intake manifold gasket o rings bleeding oil pressure after changing everything else I was thinking it might be the camshaft bearings glad I didn’t change them and tried the intake gasket first.

We have the P0011 code coming up again after changing the cam shaft the solenoid and positioning sensor. I’m at a loss. Any ideas? (07 Yukon Denali 6.2) also the oil pressure gauge is at 0.
