Gillig Phantom was such a great Bus! I was lucky enough to ride a few of these from Metro (St.Louis) Transit. Now a days there using The Gillig Advantage and a few of the Electric Buses

The Phantom is a damn good bus!

The lift is called "Lift-U". A lot of these Phantoms are being replaced with the Advantage. The front door has two window options. This one has the full height option where the window runs the full height of the door. Some of the Phantoms had a dual pane window system on the door leaves meaning you had an upper pane and a lower pane on both the front leaf and the rear leaf.

Windows are probably just locked. On 2006+ Gillig vehicles the windows had a lock that locked/unlocked with the door handle that also serves as a tool that opens various compartments if I recall.

Also gillig doesnt make phantoms anymore because people hate high floor buses idk why

I used to fall asleep when riding those.
