Nice video and bus. I have NW Bus Sales bookmarked in my phone. I plan on purchasing some transit buses to start up my transit service once I get the proper grants and approvals. I will stop in and check out some of the equipment up close and personal before I put together a roster of what I want in my fleet.

Here in Norfolk, va we still use phantoms from 2000 and the gillig advantage from 99.its been rumored they may retire next year tho

This is Ex-Sound Transit 9075. I saw this exact same bus in SF in September. It is now ran by some sort of charter company. They removed the bike rack. I have one question though, could the person filming PLEASE stop pointing the camera at the floor?!

I giggle when I see these GIGGLE busses(if that how it writed down).literally. 12/25/2008 a giggle bus back door hit me and hurt me when i getted out of the bus.

I think this used to be a commuter transit unit. Some transit agencies get regular transit buses with the motorcoach interior for commuter routes as they cant always afford motorcoach commuter buses. To me this would be a nice bus for either the York County Rabbit Transit to purchase for the Rabbit express or Lebanon transit to purchase for the Commuter King.

I think the only issue with sending this to Rabbit Transit or Lebanon transit is the mid ship door and the openable windows. Both I know get their commuter buses with only 1 door and windows that dont open. And this unit has windows that open at the top and a rear door. But wouldnt surprise me if Rabbit Transit bought something similar to this for the local service.

Honolulu still has phantom's from the late 90's and they run but the air conditioners rarely work

WOW!! This is a Newer ST Gillig that was used on the Eastside Sound transit express service......It has a Cummins ISM-280E Engine with a Allison B400R Tranny.....Whats funny is that this coach is a 2001, which is very new for a bus, especially one used primarily on freeway runs, Metro STILL has 1996-1997 Gilligs still running on the Eastside....I wonder why ST got rid of this coach......

wow she still looks and runs good, shocked kcm retired that bus so soon only 14 years old and yep it was an east base bus, ziggie is right its a cummings ism the m11 were used pre 2000 buses like kcm phantoms and D60's the ism were used after 2000 buses

That is a Cummins ISM engine not an M11. M11 engines are used in the old king county metro buses and the ism series are used in the old sound transit 40 foot buses

ziggie290 The M11 and ISM are the same engine. They changed the name in 2000. So it doesnt matter if you call it the M11 or the ISM if the unit was built around that time. I think it was either 03 or 04 when the ISM started sounding different then it did on this Gillig.

+MrWill1985 There is a difference between the M11 and ISM. The electronics system was changed in 1999, thus it was renamed, however it is still basically a newer M11. The EPA 2007 ISM sounds completely different though.
