After seeing this game I wanted Oden so bad for Portland. He was the perfect fit playing next to Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. It just wasn't meant to be. HOF talent ruined by injuries. NBA basketball missed out on a great one.

I studied Oden, and I knew he wasn't going to be anything. Even if he wasn't injured, I called durant being the best player. Oden was overhyped.

When it came down to it, Florida was an incredibly talented group of experienced players while Ohio State was an incredibly talented group of freshmen. Florida was just better at that point. Can't imagine what Ohio State would have been if Conley and Oden had stayed another 2 years and Oden stayed healthy

I was rooting for Ohio St but I knew Florida was going to pull this out because they were defending national champions and all thier starters went to the NBA.Greg Oden and Ron Lewis were practically tryin to pull it off on thier own and got outplayed.I give credit to Florida because it's extremely difficult to win back to back in college basketball.I don't think there has been a back to back champions since 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.Florida were beasts back then.

I still get mad watching this video at how much the commentator gushed over Oden the entire game. Nevermind that history was taking place right in front of you. Even saying he should be the MOP on a LOSING team. Made what was an awesome memory difficult to watch.

Greg Oden played that game with a bad ankle and DOMINATED 2 future NBA big men. Had the Buckeyes guards not gone an astoundingly terrible 2/21 on 3pt shots (they finished 4/23 because they made their last 2) this would have been a different game. In short, congratulations on the win -- now take your TEAM win and let us appreciate the greatness that never truly became in Greg Oden.

Well they did, they just shot an abysmal 2/18 from 3 when they were around a 40% 3 point team all year. It happens, Gators were the better team.

Oden didn’t play up to his full potential in this game for Ohio St. He played like he was tired. If Oden played more aggressively and with more energy OSU would of had a chance of winning this game.
