Still my favorite truck...another Chicago Cars Direct throwback video. The new 4th gen Range Rovers are amazing, but the 3rd gen will always capture my heart. Best driving position and visibility, supreme comfort, super-fast (especially with the newer 5.0 Supercharged engine), and great to be seen in. It's like wearing a Burberry top coat at all times, you feel like you have an English accent when you drive it. Enjoy. I know I did.

I have a 2007 as well…..it’s been the greatest car I have owned. I've owned many cars but none have compared to this.

I love my black beauty. She has 125k miles on her and normally I buy new cars, but this time I'm keeping her! Nothing compares. The new ones don't have the same engine. I have mine rigged to play music videos on all screens and she blasts! 2007 HSE Supercharged Java Black on Black, dead sexy she is...and she still smells and looks brand new. She's always been garaged and I drive her as if my mother was in the car. Her drive shaft is being replaced and I am missing her. Can't wait to bring her home, she be getting a clay wax detail to show her how much I love her.

I have 2008 4.2 Sport Supercharged for 3 yrs now with no issues at all. It looks exactly same as 2007 mdl. Will switch from air suspension to regular struts so it would last till the end of time, accordingly..//Henry

Can you explain the swap air suspension to regular struts ??

I went from the air ride to regular struts, and the ride quality will suffer if you don’t get high quality parts.

the 4th gen Tata Rovers are refined Ford Explorers...with every new ownership, more British heritage is lost. BMW era did a great job w/ refinement, Jaguar made reliable engines, but Tata have designed the entire Rover line the same, no dials, cheap buttons,..like all Asian manufactures, aiming for soccer moms, dumb it down. the 3rd gen is maybe the last true Range, the LR3/4 is a Ford concoction..the Discovery series is British, tho' skeetchy engines, very British. those 2 are my favorites all time. my sister used to date local drug lords..one i sidekicked, his crew drove Range Rovers..the riding position, refined interior, to the point where, I'll take a chance on sketchy reliability with a repair stash, buying a vessel is an emotional experience, not always logical. I've always driven Lexus, & I'm spoiled by it's reliability, bu they are boring for soccer moms now..Germans are pretentious & crazy overpriced repairs, so British falls in that perfect middle balance on the globe.

As they age they get noisier though. I had the doors extra sound proofed on my 4.4 V8 06, but you do get a fair bit of wind noise around A pillars and also sunroof seal deteriorates with age and needs replacing and recalibrating to remedy bufetting. Also the diffs and gearbox are not as quiet as you’d expect (my LandCruiser is noticeable quieter for NHV- - some owners even add extra sound deadening around trans tunnel to counter this. All said, they’re a great place to be on cross continent journeys; very relaxing.
