Was on my way to a wedding service this morning and my engine just stopped, checked the manual but got nothing that will help me, called the mechanic and was told I have to buy a fuel pump. Then it came to my mind to check online. And I found your video and followed your suggestions I checked the 20 amp fuse and it is ok so I just turned it. I also swapped the first relay you spoke about in the fuse box with a similar one. And to my amazement the engine started which Safed me time, money and I was able to meet up for the wedding... You just saved me a lot of $$$$$!!! my TC automatic 2005 “defect fuel pump” changed the yellow 20 easy and opened the little hatch…. A lot of fiddling with a little mirror and a flashlight took out the first “something” in front of the 3 relais then I could reach the relais with my fingers and pull it out, mine wasn’t blue but it was the first one in line, switched it again with a lot of fiddling put the big thing in front back and then….. my car started first go!!!! The garage wanted 425 pump pack + 5h labor to replace!!!! So thanks soooo much!!!!

Hi, my mechanic thinks my fuel pump relay is going bad as I have an interment fuel surge while driving (symptoms that seem like the fuel is cutting off at high revs or driving with the car in gear and both feet off the clutch and accelerator pedal). Is this true or it could just be the fuel lines being clogged or fuel pump going bad?

With the relay you can reach up there and feel if it clicks when you turn the key

Great video but I did have a question on my 2013 Corolla. When I used to turn on my accessories before I actually start my car I hear a humming for about three to five seconds and then it shuts off as then I would start my car. Is that something priming? And lately I have not been hearing it but my car still starts and seems like it's running okay do I need to check the relay fuse? Could it be out in the car still starts? I just find it odd that I no longer hear that humming and or electrical noise as this was normal when my car was new and for many many years

Thanks for the video. I was wondering which wire to tap a toggle switch into so when the switch is off the car doesn't start when the keys turned. When the switch is turned on and the key is turned then the car is able to start. Any help would be great, THanks!

I'm having same problem but all my relays are good with power 12volt. But I don't have power in the wiring hardness that goes to the fuel pump What else can it be? Or is my ignition switch blown

i have the exact model car .. car do not turn off when it twitch off the key.. so i take out the yellow fuse 20 amp .. the car then truns off normaly ... so i take out the fuse and car is working ok . but when i put the yellow 20 amp fuse back the car do not turn off engine keeps running. what is the cause of this problem ? and i can drive the car without yellow fuse ????

I have an 09 Corolla. Is the relay under the dash like this one is? The arrangement of plugs appears different on mine than this video shows, assumably because of the different year models. But I want to be sure there is one under there like your video to avoid wasting anymore time looking for something that’s not there.

Hey man, I hope you read this comment, my 2006 Corolla S died on me all of the sudden, no crank no start, I've hanged starter relay and ignition switch with no luck, seems like its not sending power to the fuel pump or starter when i turn key on.

- Is it possible the ecm is bad when all fuses and relay are good but there is no power to fuel pump. As soon as I add direct power to test vehicle turns on good

Would these also be the same fuse/relay locations for a 2007 toyota camry 4 cylinder CE? No one seems to know where the fuel pump relay for a 2007 toyota camry is located or what the part number is. I called 3 dealerships and none of the parts departments can find the fuel pump relay in their database. Apparently the relay is not labeled as for the fuel pump anywhere. Hey I got a quick question maybe you can help me or someone on here. I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla that has problems starting up especially in the cold. I would say 70% of the time it cranks and starts up normally the other 30% I have to crank it a lot longer and the car sounds like it's not going to start (almost sounds like it going to die on me) but then it starts up after about a good 3-4 seconds of cranking it. I believe this is my feul pump but I'm not sure. Once the car starts I have no issues. Possible starter as well? Do you have any suggestions what it could be?
