What is keeping you from pulling the engine separate from the trans? Why not just separate trans from engine and pull it out?

So mine is burning oil pretty bad , dealer says it needs a new engine. how hard was this ? I have zero experience with taking an engine out , ive dabbled with brakes and radiators but never a complete engine. it would be the same 2.4 pulled out and new one put in. would you say a novice can do this pretty easily?

It’s about the tools and space. If you have no mechanical experience whatsoever I don’t recommend starting with this. There are pre notions you need to have, though you could realistically do it if you were patient and careful enough.

How difficult would you say It is to put a new engine in this generation accord? Doesn’t seem that bad but idk lol

It actually wasn’t bad at all, specially cuz it was a 2.4 tons of room to work on. I had fun working on this one. Hope the videos help of you decide to do it ☺️
