Thanks for the videos. You helped me get get far in my diagnosis of a gm e37 no com. It has .5v on both can channels and 1.1v on 5v reference. Watching your videos and using a known good ecu I was able to apply 5v to the back of , what I think is a mosfet. And the ecu now can communicate!! Wow great experience. Now to find out where the problems actually is lol

Another great video, thanks. I usually come across pcms that are bad on Hondas mainly due to water/moisture damage, and just 2 days ago I have to replace one on a 2009 Accord. Most of the time the symptoms are no communication and immobilizer key light flashing. But the recent Accord didn't even light the immobilizer key light. I wanted to learn how to repair these pcms and right now I have 2 sitting around and playing with them to learn more about how they work. I wanted to suggest if you find it acceptable to ship one to you for a video on repairing. Btw I am from Nigeria, thanks

Is it possible for a ECU from a company that programs them could have not left the ecu in the proper mode. I have powers and ground. 5 volt ref all seem fine on the sensor ports. The wires from the ecu for the relay have power when hooked to the ecu. I was able to engage the relay with 2 testlighs when the ecu was unhooked. But it seems like my ECU is the issue. I have no comm with my scanner to the system. U1000’s on all modules. I’m at a lost. Feel like I should send the ecu back to the company for Testing!

1/2 voltage might indicate a single diode failure if there is a two diode control circuit to provide the 5vdc ref? Of course you'd need a true schematic of the circuit layout to know for sure.

Can you diagnose a 1995 jaguar XJR, the supercharged 4.0 inline 6 ? Car super tricky to get running and will run beautiful, start a few times and then not start again . Told by local shop that ECM is a ceramic board ? and it’s cracked and bad and cannot be fixed . Car is quite rare but no good not working . Located in Ontario Canada
