I have worked on many cars in parking lots ,none of them were mine though . I hated every minute of doing so, but when you do it for friends I guess that makes it ok . Take care and be safe my friend .

Yeah. It was awkward having a car up on jack stands in Fred Meyer parking lot. I was ready for some manager to come out and tell me I couldn't do that. Liability reasons, which I would understand. Haha!

@@JeepSolid cracked windshield, rusted windshield frame, wouldn't start so everything from switch to camshaft sensor was changed and the last thing that I changed, fixed it. Always something

Had a Mobil mechanic replace the starter in my wife’s 2009 civic and it was his first and he said he will never do another one in this car lol

Thanks guys! You showed that you can pull the starter without pulling the "c-pipe". Did you figure out why her battery went? Was the alternator 100%?

Randy, kudo’s in helping a bad situation. Had a battery in the wife’s car blow up from to many charges due to leaving headlights on 🤷🏻

If that battery was relatively new you could try putting it on a regular charger and if not just take it back to where you got it and get it warrantied out. Wouldn't it be nice if they just put all wear items near the top for easy access? Old Chevy rigs were easy. Starter just fell out the bottom. Mind me asking what town that was. Looked similar to some I have been on along the Oregon coast.

Looks like the meter leads are incorrectly plugged in, red lead should be plugged into VDC. 3:41

Video made me feel nervous too... sucks to drive far to fix a car on a public place... been there. Where I live whoever manages that space will ask yo to tow the car away... things are better in the big US of A

If the battery has a dead cell, the elect. system can not complete a circuit. Took a 7year old dead battery, dumped the acid and flushed out the crud with water. Put new battery acid in installed in a truck. Bingo still going, beats the heck out of $135.00 for a new battery. O'Reilly best price for battery acid. For what it's worth.. Very seldom the starter. Enjoyed.

Immobilizer can definitely let a vehicle turn over but not fully start just look at some Subarus

Starters for this kind of car are about $150 all the way to $300 depending on brand.

Get a good name brand one. Not a 30$ ebay unit. You will not want to change it again. Most pain in the butt car part I've ever changed.
