Proud to say my uncle used to work with this man at Russo's years ago, when Michael still lived in Nebraska, playing guitar with him. And now my uncle teaches me.

Thats one of the coolest drumers Ive seen in a long time, great time, good feel and a lot of personality. Michael lee on guitar is one of my influences he still plays Awesome but had fatter sweeter tone on his old Yamaha guitar. But who cares he still sounds wonderful. I wish guys like this could get where they deserve.

This guy is nothing short of amazing. I have followed him for many years, and he is up there with the best. He has never gotten the exposure he deserves, and is underappreciated. His rythmic ability is amazing, and truly original.

Michael is a mix of Jeff Beck, SRV and Scott Henderson !!! That why Michael is obviously a (more than) excellent guitar player ! :D This guy should be out there at the top, with the greats !

June 2019 and I'm still listening to his self-titled debut Michael Lee Firkins. You should have a listen to it too if you're into shred guitar.

Firkins is so awesome he doesn't need to make faces while playing. Such a great player and so terribly underrated. I really hope he keeps releasing some more instrumental albums as he writes excellent and beautiful music and has sensational chops.

Wow, this is really satisfying! Lee with that magic slide and that drummer sitting there, looking like he´s drinking a cup of coffee and thinking of sunny days, but he plays so groovy! Yeah!

Talk about making it look easy! MLF is my new favorite guitarist! Sometimes I think he's Scott Henderson, but it's really just the technique. I've gotta check him out live somewhere soon. Wish he were coming closer to the Bay Area. Michael, you truly rock.

Very talented M.L.Firkins : way enough technique to rival a lot of today's shredders BUT adding so much more feeling... and it sounds rough and roots! Nice and original Jimi tribute as well. Thanks man!
