Love mine! I have a 2009, also! It’s got about 43k miles on it, but it already had 38k when I bought it. It’s not an Executive model. I’ve added heated grips, external Bluetooth speakers and SiriusXM radio, a top case, and electronic cruise control!

You say when the kickstand is down, the engine won’t start. Then later you start it with the kickstand down. So I am confused.

The kickstand was not down when I started it. I was balancing the bike with my legs while starting it

I'm not a salesperson, but based on what I found on the internet, nice ones, even used, are usually more expensive than the price range you mentioned!

It's not weird for a CVT not to have a neutral gear.

Can't do that. It would move forward if I tried to do that as it doesn't have a neutral gear.

J M if you put it up on the center stand, the back wheel will be off the ground, and can spin freely. You can then rev the engine as much as you want.
