Good answers to questions, consistent and honest. Always wonder if as you get older you might not worry so much about good cars being excluded cos you think they are boring, especially as we cannot drive cars very fast especially around corners these days. A good car, being reliable and steady could be considered boring, but in fact, it is your best friend. Reliable, trustworthy, and economical. Great video.

One thing I found refreshing was you had a bunch of questions about starting out in the motor trade. Well as it was a fine day here in Aberdeen I took my Fiesta for a road trip around my local garages to see what was on offer - and I can tell you this Matt without Management Services from main manufacturers, the pickings are slim to impossible. I was even asked in one dealership did I want to sell my Active Fiesta, as pricing is higher for cars that have everything, no matter their age, than brand new cars. None of which tickly my fancy.

Congrats on your well deserved 200K Subs Matt 👌 I'm one of them 😉 having subscribed 3 years ago after watching your Jaguar XF review which consequently ended with me buying (on a complete whim ) a 1 owner from new 2008 XF 4.2 V8 Premium Luxury (seemingly rare N/A variant) with same supplying Jaguar main dealer F.S.H. up until 2015 and reputable local indy garages servicing there after. It's on 156K well loved miles and today it flew through an MOT without a single advisory. Not too bad for an ageing old Jaaaaag 😉

I have owned my Omega 2.5TD CDX auto (BMW engine) since new in 2000. I have kept it immaculate, it pulls like a rocket, and everything works. This is cheap quality motoring.

Never skipped a beat, and coming up to 300,000 miles, going to Scotland and back daily! Great round town, and gets great motorway MPG, and she's showing no sign of stopping. Touch wood!!!!

I’m a small US car dealer. I’m always amazed by how cheap you buy your cars. Those 20 yr old cars you mentioned were selling for $2k are now $5k. Plenty of small dealers near me make a living by selling high mileage $20-40k pickups. Relatively low mileage $25k pick up trucks are my bread and butter but they are sure hard to find in today’s market.

Living in Australia but still find the videos interesting and really informative. A lot of the content does translate to cars available in Australia.

P38 was my first foray into Range Rover (and Land Rover) ownership. It was the 4.0 V8 petrol and I loved it, however it spent too often on the back of a low loader...electrics were a real pain. I suspect a mint one would be worth having....

The awkward customer videos are not only funny but they also act as a good learning point for us lot. I’m sure I’ve been guilty of acting a bit daft or unfair with customer service people in the past so they do show us a better way of dealing with salesman in a fairer way.👍🏼

Another interesting video, Matt... I'm intrigued at your admission that car sales is really quite a challenging and sometimes tedious vocation, but your personal enthusiasm is what comes across, so without that, I can't see it suiting those aspiring novices who haven't got that in their makeup... I'm also intrigued by my compulsion to watch your videos, more than any others and I think it's because most people run cars which, after houses, are probably our most expensive item. As such, it's a subject which can be fun, costly, but an important aspect of our lives and, like it or not, for many of us, it's not just a practical work horse, but a badge of identity and 'presence' in the world, which might account for the fact it's predominantly men that watch your channel...! 😜

The first review of your's that I watched was on the mk1 XF during the first lock down as I own an XF. Agreed with most of your comments although I don't like Werther's!!! and thought this was a channel worth watching - have now seen most of your videos. Interesting Q&A as usual with lots of insight into the car trade. Despite what you say about the hassles of your job you always come across as enthusiastic and interested in the cars you review - so hope things continue to develop in the future👍
