Beautiful! My first car was red ‘70 Maverick I bought used in ‘78. Man, I loved that car! Drove it until a drunk rammed into me and totalled my baby.

That thing is fuckin’ badass. Super build, awesome car! Congrats to the builders and owner. Not many people would sack-up that kind of money on a Maverick. You’ve done its namesake proud! A true Maverick. Nice!!

I've always liked the early Mavericks. Decades ago, one of my co-workers had a stock Maverick Grabber 302 2barrel that would quickly enough top 100 mph - I can't imagine 200 mph. One of my cousins went wild on a 302 Maverick with whatever speed parts he could buy at Super Shops. I had an acquaintance with the rarer Comet GT (Mercury version of the Grabber).

My cousin had saved up and bought a Maverick.Before he could drive he had it painted and the whole engine done with Edelbrock parts.I loved that car.This one is really nice because it has a modern look that most guys do not have the creativity to build.

My first car was a 75 Mercury Comet, the Mercury clone of the Maverick, but with 4 doors. It was pretty sad looking, but the motor had been redone so it was pretty speedy - although not at all like this. Good memories.

Had a maverick it was my mom's Christmas present in 1970. It started rusting the day my dad brought it home. Cool looking car, I ended up driving it I high school. I couldn't put anything in the trunk because it would fall out through the holes. It amazes me that any of them survived . Lol. It beat walking though

This is incredible. Last time I saw a Maverick it was just the name badge on top of a massive pile of rust, some rubber and a gelatinous oily heap for a engine.

the Maverick in America was always joked about I don't know why it's as good looking as Mustang smaller and lighter and most parts interchange , but in Brazil they always customized Mavericks and they still do , it was built there and the mustang wasn't , i have seen lots down there

I love the Mavericks oh what I like to see come back a little faster and more stable and not ever caused the crash and burn again is a Ford Pinto Fastback Pony or a Ford Mercury bobcat pinto hatchback . ONLY with a little more horsepower under the hood like a v6 twin cam EFI vortex engine or a Mitsubishi 4 cylinder twin overhead cam electronic fuel injection engine with a supercharger.

I owned a stock 74 Maverick back in the early 90s. Bought it for just $200, it had under 60k on the odometer. I delivered pizzas in n it until one night when my water pump started to go. I asked my boss to let me go for the night because I feared I was damaging the engine. I was told that if I left, I'd be fired. What could I do? I had a family to feed. I filled the radiator at each stop and every time I got back to the store. Towards the end of the night, I pulled in to the store parking lot and the engine sized. She was dead, and I was immediately let go. Days later, I had to pay a salvage company to haul it away. Such a loss. I was fired
