In this video, we tackle the massive task of adjusting the valve lash on the 6.7 Cummins engine. This job took me about 3 hours. You can speed the process up significantly by having someone look topside for top dead center as you rotate the engine over.
Valve Adjustment Sequence:
For TDC 1:
Intake & Exhaust on cylinder 1.
Intake on Cylinder 2.
Exhaust on Cylinder 3.
Intake on Cylinder 4.
Exhaust on Cylinder 5.
For TDC 6:
Exhaust on Cylinder 2.
Intake on Cylinder 3.
Exhaust on Cylinder 4.
Intake on Cylinder 5.
Intake & Exhaust on Cylinder 6.
Valve Specs:
.026 For Exhaust Valves
.010 For Intake Valves
For this job, I used a Traxion Topside Creeper to reach into the engine bay. This is not a required tool for this job, however it does speed this process up significantly and make a world of difference on your lower back:

NOTE- I highly recommend buying this from a reputable dealer. I choose Geno's Garage for all name brand parts. eBay and Amazon have a ton of aftermarket parts posing to be OEM. For select parts, I would stay away from these sources and stick with reputable dealers.
