Finally, someone shows you how to use that thread insert tool. The provided instructions suck, just throw them in the trash. After watching this video I had mine installed in a minute and a half.

Hey my man my parts came in today and I threw it on left and right like you did but when I put the right one on my tailgate keeps popping out of place from the force, I’m gonna replace bushings and see what happens

Yes it pops up from the right side where the hinge is open and I just ended up clamping it works great for now

Installing 2 of these…how do u keep right side of tailgate from sliding off of the hinge when u go to let tailgate down? I tried new bushings and it still comes up and off the hinge when i let tailgate down…any idea did u have this problem?

Use a worm gear hose clamp, Lil added security from theft as well

I think it’s 5/16 but don’t quote me on it .
