Great video as always, can I ask , what was the car doing to make you know it needed a wheel bearing?

Entertaining video, but I would have put a new backplate and replaced the split pin with a new one-good engineering sense to me !!

3:20 Aargh! That bolt just will not come off! Everything else until then was fine - and everything after is definitely doable. But the head of that 18-mm bolt will not budge. There's not enough room to get the needed leverage with the Qashqai jacked up on the drive.

@@TEAMR4ULTV I did it! But I left that bottom bolt on the wishbone in place (it wouldn't even shift with a strong arm) and took the two upper bolts off instead. And then everything went just as you had it here. Thanks!

Even if you manage to turn the bolt it can still lock up with rust and refuse to come out. Penetrating oil and pneumatic hammer was my solution.

no need to refit the back plate then ???

Thanks for watching really appreciate it. The back plate was in such a bad state best just leave it off. Or get a new one but to be honest these back plate corrode and I end up ripping them off anyway.

I have mobility problems and can’t get down to do it I need a hip replacement surgery but a surgeon will do that for me 😂
