2011 Mazdaspeed 3 Fuel Cut / Boost Cut? (4th Gear Pull)

Been experiencing some fuel cut issues on my 2011 Mazdaspeed 3. Contacted the guy who had it before me and he confirmed they were upgraded because I still wasn't 100% sure upon taking the internals out and inspecting them because it didn't seem like they could be removed from the top of the spring like the stock ones come out. I recently ordered Corksport's internals and am thinking I'll probably just try swapping them even though these ones might have already been upgraded.
Not sure what else to do, but if anyone wants to see a pic of these internals and might be able to tell what they are just let me know
Performance Mods:
- Magnaflow performance exhaust catless
- Downpipe
- Cobb SF Intake
- TurboXS RBV BOV
- CPE Top-Mount Intercooler
Check engine light is on for an 02 sensor circuit slow response (P0139)

Based off the mods listed you have a downpipe and no fuel pump internals. Fuel pump internals are required prior to a downpipe. This is fuel cut from not having enough flow. If you run it with this condition for much longer you may crack the piston and the ringland causing a rebuild of the motor to be needed

make sure you get pro tuned also, contact freektune, tuned by nishan, hypnotic tuning or purple drank tuning. this will help too. Make sure to get the internals fixed first

get a cheap tune for the ap but an actual dyno tune to make sure everything's actually running right. downloadable tunes always have issues

Mine did the same but turn out it was the spark plugs connectors. I replaced the 4 connectors and problem solved.

I’ve got the same problem but it’s in every gear. I’m only making 8 psi max and no tune.

The stock shelf cobb accessport maps were making it cut. Once I got the first custom base tune map (used Purple Drank Tuning) everything was good!

I have the same problem with my mitsubishi eclipse 97 GST ...I upgraded my stock turbo for a TD05 evo big turbo and I can't fine the fuel cut problem...I had code P1103 wastegate selenoid malfunction. .. I replaced it for a BOOST CONTROLLER and it feels the difference but still making the same fuel cut on high boost on 4/5 shift somebody can help me please?

The Cobb tune is trash, I had the same issues. I got E-tuned from purple drank tuning cheap and made good gains.

+Speedy Mcspeederson thanks, yea I went with purple drank a little while back but havent really begun the tuning process as I'm actually still trying to decide whether or not I should replace the internals on the car with the corksports I bought bc I orginally didn't think the internals that were on the car were upgraded. I'm told they were but I can't identify which internals these are, so I'm left with either: (1) trusting the internals that are on the car since fuel pressure is holding and it runs fine on the first base tune from PD, and sell the new corksports, or (2) just eat the $350 and replace them knowing that corksports are great and I'll actually know what internals the car is running. Quite the decision, but its nice to know others have had the same struggles with the cobb maps

+TheNewbz pull the internals it's pretty easy to do, and see if their upgraded or not. if they are return the ones you bought. that's what I would do, I'm about to get tuned for e85 soon.

+Speedy Mcspeederson pulled them already, just couldn't match them up to any other upgraded internals and didn't seem like they were stock. +TheNewbz I couldn't identify it by looking, but I'm no expert. I guess best bet would be using your tuner and seeing what pressure your fuel pump is holding at wot. unfortunately if you want to be 100% sure, I guess you would have to swap the internals, sorry I couldn't help. Maybe you could call Cobb and see if they have a better way to identify they have been upgraded or not.

Apparently the stock ots cobb maps can do that, after the tune from PD it went away. But looking back, def from overboosting

I got a similar thing that happened to me but in first gear. Felt like I hit a mini brick wall and now it doesn’t do it. No Boost leak. Thinking about going with PD on my new Corksport turbo.

@@mjl6425 Mine started to do this mostly in 4th gear full boost and at around 4500-5000 bam...feels like you said a brickwall...dunno if its not a selenoid or the fuel pump...started 3 days ago...
