I own both a MEP-802A and a MEP-803A. A backup for my backup. You need to upgrade it with the voltage regulator mod. To protect the voltage regulator, from damage from a spike in voltage when dropping from a high load. There is a video on you tube that gives parts needed, and installation. Good luck guys.
