It's very odd that the same solenoid code has set with the reman part but possibly you got a defective unit. Other than inspecting the harness from the PCM to the transmission and checking pin drag can't suggest much. Have you tested anything such as solenoid resistances?

@@PhillipBailey no I sure haven’t but it went months and was fine until the other day and went to limp mode and did the same as a while back before I changed the solenoid pack.

@@PhillipBailey PO750 shift Solenoid, originally it was stuck in 4th gear, when you 1st started the truck, The shifter said 4th, and it took off in forth gear, wouldn't start out in 1st and then shift up, as normal, So everything was indicating shift Solenoid, so I installed that, but now when you just turn the key on, It is lite up in the dash A Red reverse light, and won't change no matter where you shift it, Thanks for replying

@@clearblueswamp4328 sounds like a faulty range sensor in the new part. What brand did you use. Is it setting any new codes?

@@PhillipBailey just the original 750 code, And it said it was a brand new part Mopar from EBay, I read on one of the websites that the new solenoid sometimes has to learn itself, But I believe that's just hogwash, I'm thinking that this might have been repackaged Thanks for Replying what's your thoughts on that?

@clearblueswamp4328 no it should be plug and play

It's a latched connector with a red or grey secondary lock. It needs to be unlocked then the lever flipped up to remove. It tends to get sand on it. Use compressed air to clean the dirt out. Gently pulling upwards on the connector as you lift the release lever helps. Good luck

If I remember correctly there are two small alignment dowels on the solenoid body that have to line up to the main valve body. the park lever is the manual valve that must engage the pin in the fork. I don't believe you can assemble it without engaging the fork correctly. If you could it would not likely come out of park.

Just cause it's generating a code for the solenoid does not guarantee the solenoid is at fault. It likely is but the problem could also be wiring between the transmission and PCM. It's a fairly expensive job parts and labour. Whether you can do it yourself depends and your skill level. You will need an inch pound torque wrench to torque the valvebody bolts.

Thanks for that. Just a brief explanation on what’s going on is my truck out of no where stopped going into drive and only goes into Park,neutral,reverse,4th gear almost like it’s slipping passed drive.

@@brianj6154 so a reputable transmission shop has checked it or just an emission test and it failed cause the mil is on.

I brought it down to a mechanic shop but all they did was run it for state inspection test. They had it back to me in under 10 minutes saying it failed and the P0750:shift solenoid A malfunction was what failed

@@brianj6154 well it's likely going to need a solenoid assembly as I replaced on this vehicle. But as I mentioned the problem could be wiring related as well.

1. Check for improper fluid level. 2. Remove the new filter and compare to the original filter, regarding neck size and length. Also check that the o-ring is in proper location. What was the reason you had it apart

@@PhillipBailey had the exact P0750 issue.. That's fixed now, but now is the low pressure line code..and I'm not sure if both sides of the dipstick should read in the hot level when warm because when I check it when the trans is warm, one side is still at the cold/bottom level and the other side is at the hot level so that confuses me too.

@FrancisD both sides should read at full hot. Add some more fluid. Takes awhile for the tube to drain and until then get a false reading.

I did a Clutch Volume Index relearn but it probably wasn't necessary. That's more required is the clutches were replaced.

It is very similar. Chances are you will end up replacing the solenoid pack. Has there been any other previous work don on it recently?

Check the wiring between the transmission and PCM closely. If this is the exact same code you had with the original solenoid pack it's highly unlikely to get a defective new part with the exact same problem.

Hello and thanks for your interest in my channel. The code is caused by an electrical failure of the solenoid or the wiring. A broken wire to the transmission connector could cause it. You need the measure the specific solenoid resistance at the plug going into the transmission. Unfortunately this is a pita due to its location. Has there been any work done ie engine or transmission removal where the harness could have been moved? Is the problem current ie code comes back as soon as you start it. I'd say it's 60% solenoid pack, 35% wiring and 5% computer. If the solenoid pack was cheaper if say just replace it but that's an expensive flip of the coin. Sorry wish I could help more.

My 2011 ram 1500 goes into every gear no effort but has no go in reverse it shifts as it should in every other gear

What code did you have before? Was it the same code or is this a new code. Why did you replace the solenoid pack and what were the symptoms then and now?

@@PhillipBailey it’s the same code, I looked into it and thought that was my best bet I wasn’t aware that it could also be wiring, any idea as to where I should start now?

It shifts into the gear it just won’t move even with increased rpm
