In this video I show you how to replace the headlight bulbs in a 2012 Buick lacrosse with projector headlights. Not the most difficult I've done but also not the easiest. Thanks for watching & don't forget to like , comment, share & subscribe.

Yes they will, especially since the LED bulbs (at good quality) are already $175 a pair. 🤣😂🤣 and I agree with the previous comment, change them all while you are in there! Definitely! All the best!

No you don't. Take the air filter unit off. You have a clear shot to the light. These are insane videos.

I think that I would recommend changing all of the bulbs in each light assembly while you have it accessed since it takes so long for the access. Thanks for the great video.

Trust me they’re all complicated lol, my 2014 chevy SS was worse I had to go through the wheel well or you had to remove the bumper, and my 2012 chevy Malibu was almost the same process as this one

Just an fyi I just did this on a 2015. I work at a small independent body shop and our charge was $158.00 to replace both bulbs (owner supplied bulbs)(June 7th 2024)

I believe 2015 is a different gen so the process might be a little different

I have a 2011 Lacrosse CXS and I just got through changing my Bulbs out as well… I went with The 6000k like my SRT8 Dodge Magnum and the Funny thing is on my Magnum my lights seem brighter but maybe I should have went with the 8000k on the Buick but then again I have changed out the Fog Lights on the Magnum as well but forgot what brightness I went with so maybe that’s the problem but they are brighter than my Factory Lights so I guess I can’t complain to much lol… it took me about 2 and 1/2 from start to finish… Thank you for the Video as it helped a bunch…

Glad I could help! I’m pretty sure it’s the projectors in the Buick that might be holding back some brightness, my ss headlights seemed brighter and I had cheaper bulbs in that one. I had a 2014 f150 tremor a few months ago I was going to switch the projectors on to aftermarket ones that were going to help with brightness but sold it before I did anything to it.

@@guadalupenunez5505 I noticed on my wife’s car and my magnum and our Cadillac Escalade the Beam shoots further down the road as my Buick seems to have the projectors shooting more down at the road…I wonder if there is a way to adjust the projectors…

@@HorsePower19 I believe there is a way to adjust them just like regular halogen headlights there should be 2 adjustments 1 for left & right and another for up & down.

@@guadalupenunez5505 I adjusted my lights last night which made a difference…It was real simple…I think my projector lenses compared to my SRT are completely different and The Magnum is still brighter🤔🤔🤔🤔

@@HorsePower19 they probably are I’m guessing it just depends on the projector that is being used. If you want brighter might look into a projector replacement that fits/bolts on like the oem one.

I agree about the projector foglamps and headlight bulbs. reflector housings are much brighter. i kind of wish my lacrosse didnt have the HID setup, with the standard halogen set up you get reflector units where you can just change the bulbs to plug and play LEDs which are super bright in a reflector assembly

@wilcunningham5787 Some kind of clip remover tool or just a flat head screw driver, 7mm socket short & long, short ratchet extension, T20 torx bit or screw driver, drill or Philips screwdriver with magnetic tip.

I appreciate all you have shown on a Buick LaCrosse but I have a question ! Have you had any LaCrosses that die if you hit a bump or press the start button and only clicks ? Everybody claims they know but I ain't seen it fixed yet ! Thanks in advance

I haven’t had that happen, sometimes we do struggle to turn this one on but I think it’s the remote we might need a new one. My altima did start to struggle to turn on and I found the terminals on the battery were really loose, I cleaned them and tightened them and haven’t had any issues. Maybe that’s what’s happening? The impact is causing the terminal too move and not stay on? Make sure the terminals are clean and have good connection to the battery

My 2010 LaCross cxs starts sometimes and sometimes seems to struggle to start, and the battery is fully charged. I'm so sick of being stranded in this car!

You should is how to take the car apart to get to the bulb, but You didn’t show us how to change the bulb! 😢😢 Why didn’t you? That’s kind of the purpose of the video.

4:00-4:45 once you get the 3 small screws out of the cover that holds the bulb in place the bulb comes out and you replace the bulb then put the over back and put the screws back in. Kinda hard to do that while holding a camera since you really dont wanna lose those screws

Yes they do, idk which trim levels had that option but this one does do it.

I would imagine it’s the same process, you’d have to remove the whole headlight and then just swap out the plastic pieces I think

Tbh I haven’t even thought about those, I’ll look at them when I get a chance, I did my DRL lights and those came out really good super bright, didn’t do signals because I would need resistors and don’t want to go through that hassle, also did the whole interior

@@guadalupenunez5505 I'm a year late to this, but there's a company called LASFIT that sells blinker bulbs with built-in resistors. They're plug and play and work just fine. I have them front and back on my 14 Lacrosse and I had them on my Maxima as well.

I can probably do it in an hour & a half now, my previos vehicle was almost the same process (2012 Malibu) I put GTR lighting headlight bulbs in that one. As for tools a prying tool for the clips or a flat head screwdriver, a t20 torx bit or screwdriver, 7mm socket (short or long) I used the long 7mm with extensions for the hard bolt, and I also used a flex head ratchet for the tough bolt, a drill will help the process go by faster. I’m pretty sure that’s all you need if I remember correctly

@@guadalupenunez5505 so your honest opinion the GTR bulbs weren’t worth the investment because I’m glad across your video because I love GTR LIGHTING products,because I have the GRT ULTRAS LED in my 07 Pathfinder and love them,but if you don’t think there worth it, I won’t get them and you saved me 2 hours of taking apart the front end which I wasn’t looking forward to 🤙

@@kenmccarthyfishing for whatever reason the gtr DS3 bulbs weren’t what I was expecting could just but the projectors in this car. I bought h11 style led bulbs from gtr and they’re amazing! I plan on doing a led vs hid test both from gtr lighting hopefully soon.

@@kenmccarthyfishing correction after reading my previous comment I had morimoto in this car and they’re not as bright as I hoped. And I see I said “I guess I’m just use to the GTR bulbs that are in my halogen headlights” also said GTR didn’t offer that bulb size at the time I was looking. So didn’t get to try out d3s style GTR bulbs the ones I had were morimoto if I’m correct.

Tf you doing all that work for go to autozone and buy the light clap take off first part push the release latch with the light clamp then use the claw pull walla magic then you change the light push it back in with clamp put cover on you go tear some shit up doing it this way unlesssss you know what the he’ll your doing like him but if it’s your first time yeah go ahead and take that ride to autoooooozone 🤷🏽‍♂️
