Is it possible to use some kind of hyper shift on headlights? Of course in a sense that it doesn't interfere with the lights on but only noticeable off in daylight. I'm just asking out of curiosity. Nice informative video as always. 👍

Approve of sanding by hand as its simple and you get a better feel for what is happening to the lens. Some kits use pads for drills.

If you are mechanically inclined enough, you can remove the headlamp assembly and do this 'off the car'.

I just want to share an experience. I sent this company a message about matching a specific paint with the paint code I have from the original car, the TwerkStallion. They sent me to Gabe who sent me a full email on what to get, how much and all the links to the specific supplies I would need to recreate that color. I called 20 other places around me and they would say no because I only need a small amount or they would set an amount like $250 for a pint. I just want to thank you for the help. I'm going to have a few stickers made and put it on the car when I send it to Hert.

Yes!!! I've been looking for this! My 89 yr. old mother has a little Honda FIT, and the headlights have seen better days. I'm going to get this kit and fix them for her!! No, she doesn't drive, I play chauffeur for her. Thank you so much, very informative! Love you videos, too. Watch them all the time because I'm curious if the paint will look good. I’ve been sanding back and buffing them up for yrs. Bit stupid that they changed from glass to plastic in the first place. Looked a decent finish 👌🏻

I would suggest buying a sanding sponge because it will give a more even surface finish because doing it by hand along will cause random preasure where your fingers are pressing down.

Great little kit you guys made there. 👍 I would argue that in most cases, it would probably be better, (and maybe easier) to just take the headlights of the car, before working on them.

(And more fun) I was just thinking that if you're restoring headlights on a car. Then it's probably an older model. 🙂 But yeah. We may be entering the era of "old cars" being too new for home mechanics.

I miss the old cars where the headlights were easy to deal with. I have a 2001 Subaru and I have to take it to a shop to replace the bulbs because you have to take half of the car apart just to get at one of them. Even the mechanics think it's a PITA.

Worked superb. I did mine & it took about 1/2 hour each. I did not use a quality clear however. Still, I was close. I ended up buying new ones, as hail cracked them badly.

Ah, nice! I tried a DIY kit from a store and the results were.... not great. We had the headlights restored on our ancient Honda last time we had a full detail, but I'm starting to see a little bit of fog on my 2010 Miata now, just on the top edge. I'll probably give it a nice headlight spa day when I replace the cloth top later on this year.

I assume the lights shouldn't cloud again? Thats the purpose of the limited lifetime warranty? Super interested, but I need to know how long to expect clear lights before I can commit.

Yup that's the purpose of the warranty - if it dulls, fogs, etc during it's lifetime - it's replaced.

Nice product to add to the lineup. Kinda helps make yal a one stop shop to drastically improve the look of an aged ride in one shipment. What good is spraying a car, having it turn out nice, and then still have some fogged headlights detracting from the whole look? I’ll prolly try it out when I make my next purchase

I kinda wish there were glass covers or headlight options available in the aftermarket seeing that they fade so quickly. Might be a pain to figure out and expensive, but I’d have to imagine that they would sell…. Hmmm maybe I can be the guy! Lol

I'm surprised that only one wet coat is needed. Figured it would be 2 or 3 coats with a sand and polish for the final step.

it's not a traditional clear, it's made just for this purpose. 1 coat does the trick!
