I had just a clicking sound going on continously when the key was put in the start position. The dash would just light up and flash. Then at other times i had just a single click or a few and it would stop. I thought it was the starter but it wasn't it was just the battery. I pulled the starter out and bench tested it. Getting it out is a bit of a pain. At the top under the hood a single screw holds the heat shield, remove it. Then under the car take the o2 sensor out, remove the clips holding the wiring and unclip everything. Then take the knock sensor off its a 13 or 15mm bolt. Then you have to remove the connector on the starter. Pull the orange plastic pin out. Then use a very small flat screwdriver and place and twist against/between the clip and connector on the starter, and pull on the connector it'll release. Its impossible to push on the clip under the car. So just try to pry the connector on the starter open up more a bit. Lastly remove the bolt holding 2 postive terminal cables. The starter will drop once you remove the 2 bolts its hard to get out. You have to maneuver it a good bit but itll drop. You dont need to loosen the catalytic convertor or remove the exhaust pipe. Putting it back is way easier should only take 15 mins 20 tops, used an air ratchet too.

What would happen if someone were to connect both the top holes of the starter relay with a paper clip?

Good afternoon Lehew , I replaced the key plastic cover for my Chevy Equinox 2013, I move all pcb, and the original key file but now when I try to start the car, the car will turn on the Dash board light without issues, I can also lower my windows up, and down without problems, turn my car radio, however when I tried to turn the key all the way to right like you normally do when you try to start up the case, the car will not start. Have you run into a issues like this, and if you did how did you fixed it? Thank you in advanced!

how do you know what numbers are for which holes on relay socket. the numbers are marked on relay but not fuse box . eaxample which hole is 37 or 80 .

mine has lights that come but wont turn over I brought a new battery today and still nothing at times it will make a clicking sound when it trys too turn over I'm thinking it maybe a starter but not sure when I hooked a code reader too it the fuel module came up I replaced that car ran fine for a few days than now nothing

I can't turn on my equinox with the key. I actually have to pop my hood and turn truck on by pushing on the ignition switch relay. What other relay can I use in place of that one. Or jus buy a new relay

Hey im haveing promblems with mine same model n everything. At first it didnt wanted to start then my biggest mistake i did was pass it batery then the cable burn but i did conected it right then from there it dont gurn on or nothen just like the video but the keys got stock cant take them off . ur advise what issues u think i might have with mine?

I have equinox just like that one don't want started

So my 2012 lost power to button controls for radio on and on and volume. No blower power or ac. Car was running and I ran inside for about 5 mins. Came out to turn down radio but had to use steering wheel control. Disconnected neg post on battery for 3 mins. Got power back to everything. Started car moved it in my driveway. Next morning I have power to everything but won’t start. No clicking sound. Have no clue what to do here.
