2012 F30 328i Cold Start Shudders at 1000rpm

11 жыл бұрын-1.5C. No pedal or steering input, aside from releasing the brake pedal after crank. Apologies for the loss of focus and not great sounds, I rushed with the camera and got the settings wrong! But the rev drop at 1000rpm is illustrated as I wanted. Also, the second video was taken on my phone so the gong isn't really distorted like that!!

That's good to know! Folk on Bimmerpost are saying this is normal behaviour too. Some 328i's are much rougher and can jump up and down 800rpm. Others stall out!

Mine does this, it only on warm restart and it has to be once the engine has been left for maybe 20-40mins max otherwise it doesn’t do it. So strange. Sometimes it’s rough and stalls! Then start fine.

That's not normal the engine is struggling maybe something is stuck in the airflow or maybe something in the fuel system but it's not a faulty part like MAF or lambda it just needs cleaning :) don't take everything normal. It wasn't like this from the factory it is not normal

Perfectly normal the engine is too cold and the oil too thick so thanks to that simple sensor your engine runs normal. When the oil gets hotter the rotations will drop.
