Fantastic .I participated in this sport over 25 years ago .i remember these models as F1A /A2 tow line glider ,F1B/Wakefield ,F1C/half A power model and others like P30 rubber model and HLG hand launch glider .Its sad this sport dried up in my country .

I assume they are trying to get thermals to release from the ground with the shirt fanning. Free flight is interesting in all the adjustments needed to get the airplane flying great. Then there is the part where you just do not know where the plane will go, if it will find lift or sink.

Anyone can buy a foam RC plane at the hobby shop. Try building an airplane from scratch and really learn how to fly an airplane without all the electronics.

And you didn't even show the winner! Too much fancy cutaway shots and not enough about the planes. Why are the guys waiving their shirts? Is this something to do with fanning the air? A well made video but lacks finesse. Keep it simple next time. I don't want to see all those people shots!

Sorry ol' chaps but I had to give it the thumbs down cos you showed everything except the best part. The amazingly gracefull gliding footage. I feel bad about it but NONE. Not one piece of actual gliding (and every launch was cut off too soon). Great video other than that. Great footage of the people (great detail). lol If you had half the time you showed the people with footage on the glide I would have given it thumbs up.

Likely the most difficult aviation competition in the world today, or historicity.. It's easy to see how it misunderstood by some of the uninformed who have made the crude and course statement here. I apologize for them for they know not shit about aviation.
