Hiya Barrie, quick question. I'm very keen on buying a used XF (2012 onwards) in the near future, but now can't decide what to go for engine wise, it's between the the 3.0 v6 or the 2.2 (200bhp) Diesel. I do like to have a bit of poke under the bonnet & on paper there doesn't seem to be much of a difference. Is the 2.2 just as entertaining to drive as the 3.0? Great videos by the way.

I really like the XF, to be honest i dont think under normal driving conditions you would be able to tell the difference, except perhaps engine noise and revs at a certain speed, i prefer the 3.0 but i would be very happy with a 2.2 and slightly, I would just look to buy the newest one in the best condition with the best service (and Mot history) that i could afford. Go for 2.2L good in mileage too and nice power too 3.0 is much more un wanted power

Great video Barrie! I really like the Jaguar XF 2.2. I'm thinking of buying one in 2022!! My budget is around 5-6k and I'll probably get a higher mileage used one. Is it still worth buying one of these with high mileage 2012 plate?

You cannot go wrong with the 2.2 engine I bought one with 100k and now on 200k still as new. 3.0d can suffer so be careful.

Great video. Just found it. I just bought XF 2.2D with 119000miles.(2013). What should I look for at this age and mileage? And also what’s the thing I need to change when I get it serviced?

great cars, the only problems we have had with these is door locks, although recently we have become aware of a problem which seems innocuous where the heater vents and heater wont work, you think its a fuse but its a corroded pin in the fuse box, word of warning, dont take it to a Jag Dealer, they want £4000 to replace the loom and fusebox, when it just needs cleaning, or a new pin soldering on for about £100

Hey bro I’m 22 turn 23 in January getting my first license and car and got my eye on a jag xf 2.2 TD luxury 4dr Should I get it cost about 6k 2012 plate 100 miles
