This video show the removal of the CVT Transmission from a 2012 Nissan Altima. The was bought a Copart as a runs and drives. Turns out not able to drive very far.

Anything we need to worry about when removing the subframe? I never done one before

Removal of subframe is mandatory? I am trying to change the clutch plates on my 2008 Altima. Please let me know if the transmission assembly is held from the bottom in anyway?

Yes, you have to remove the frame to get it out. It will only come out from the bottom. You can not pull it from the top.

BC Automotive Rebuilds I am having a tough time removing the exhaust pipe bolts. They are rusted and I don’t have much space to work under the car.

You can remove transmission from top much easier I do them a lot

@@branwil7674 I see you say that you work on them alot. What would you say to everyone, that have bought New: Coils, Spark Plugs, Cam, Cranks, Maf Sensors, New Fuel pumps etc. And still have a no start issue. What can you tell us about these No Starts, with Po300s, p0420s, p01065s etc.. etc.. What may be the problem with 2002-2007 Nissans?

I'm so disgusted this is my current situation. I was told yesterday the transmission is gone 😩. I have a 2010 cvt trans of course, the shop told me it's not completely gone but that's the next step. It still cranks fine, shifts into the gears fine but doesn't really want to drive forward or reverse you have to give it a lot of gas for it to move. All I did was hit a small patch of water friday when it was raining while headed home.

I got it fixed, sold it and got me something else.

Sounds like a torque converter main issue. Not that bad.

My 2010 Altima's transmission gave out at 112,400 miles. I just got rid of it and ended up getting a Toyota. What really sucks is that my Altima was paid off already.

Javier Vasquez Ummm, you should have had Nissan Repair it for free. Nissan extended the warranty on that model for 10 years/120,000 miles so you would have qualified
