Me too, I could feel the pain, and astonished to discover that those guys would come out publicly against SpaceX when they should have been cheering him on. Well like with almost everything Elon has accomplished, he's proven his detractors wrong time and again. By now you'd think they'd know better, but the FUD concerning Tesla is still nonstop, smh.

12:06 This made me tear up. Imagine working super hard and smart all your life to only get to know that the people you always looked up to are the ones going against you and your creation, innovation or idea. I really hope those people realize how big of a genius Elon is and how passionate he is about building the bridge to the future for humanity before it's too late. At the same time I also feel like with making things like spaceflight public, it can really end up in disorganised chaos as firstly, space is still unpredictable for now atleast and secondly, even if sending people to Space or Mars is strictly monitored and controlled there can be unknown challenges and risks at stake. Don't get me wrong, I really like Elon Musk. It's just that I'm really curious to know and understand how this will all initially and eventually work.

Now 6+ years later, Space X is the unquestioned leader in ability to deploy medium sized payloads to orbit for customers at pricing that destroys the competition. Up next , Falcon Heavy to deploy even heavier payloads with same or better efficiency. It's success is less a testament to radically new technology (a self landing booster is basically a Segway in the sky) and more to the vision of Musk and the investors in continuing to fund the company through its early failures.

Neil Armstrong sent a message to CBS saying they had not been complete in their description of his testimony about SpaceX. Former NASA flight director Chris Kraft wrote to the Houston Chronicle saying the 60 Minutes piece was a distortion of the facts and didn't reflect their views. Gene Cernan was one of nine Apollo astronauts who signed a photo of the Falcon 9 with congratulatory messages for Musk on the SpaceX Dragon’s first mission to the ISS.

The more i learn about Elon Musk and the more I'm speechless because it is incredible in how many ways this man is inspiring. At first I was completely amazed when the journalist asked "Did you think "I need to pack this", Elon answered "Never", and the journalist asked " Why not" and Elon said "I don't ever give up (...)", i mean the way he said that so calm but at the same time firm and unbreakable let me believe that he really never ever thought to give up, not for a second neither in the toughest moment. As many other comments highlighted, I think the most touching part of the interview is about his Heroes not supporting him. I mean he has had the people that inspired him since he was a child going against his idea, seemingly not even visiting his company... it's like a child that hears now from Messi and CR7 that he won't never become a football champion... And he did't give up neither beacause of that... To me this is self-confidence, brave, dreamer and inspirational of the next level. PS. Last but not least, I think the journalist deserves lots of compliments for this incredible interview and the questions he asked let people know not only the achievements, but most important the mindset of the man behind SpaceX and Tesla. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU TAHNK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

Elon Musk is an inspiration. Seeing him tear up like that means this is more than money to him. It's a passion. To be not believed in especially by those you admire is a hard pill to swallow.
