In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2012 Volkswagen GLI. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

It makes an excellent first time car and is extremely reliable, as long as you maintain it properly and are responsible. I speak from experience with the Jetta.

I love how Volkswagen is pretty much the only car maker that can make a good car with good looks, good quality, and nice power. I mean what other brand makes a 2 liter turbocharged engine that still makes over 30 mpg on the highway? Awesome car

Its not really just a sporty trim. A sporty trim is merely cosmetic upgrades. The GLI has is more than that, it has a lot more power, 200hp engine, the same engine used in base A4 if i'm not mistaken. The regular jetta has like 140 hp.

Gorgeous design and really glad they went back to independent suspension in the rear, but the deal breaker for me is the lack of available projector HID headlights like the GTI has.

Because when you park the car, it's safer to engage the gear into 1st to avoid the car from rolling away, just in case the handbrake wasn't good enough to hold the car.

I bought this exact same care this week. I love it! Very comfortable, and powerful. some times im driving and all of the sudden Im doing 80-90mph.. crap! Coming from an Honda I have to get used to the Engine sound.

@counkev As counkev says, it is like a back up in case you handbrake/parking brake fails. I leave it in neutral and handbrake on if parked on level ground. I put it in 1st is the front of the car is facing uphill, and put in reverse gear if car is facing downhill. Hope that helps.

one question : does the temperature scroll control on the climate light on the dark like a circle around it ???? maybe like the radio volume control that lights on like a red circle
