What about the brake shims? I think you forgot it, and maybe you have some brake noise. That's a realy quite important step on this job!

Great video. I was curious to know why were the rotors not replaced or resurfaced? They look a bit scratched.

You didn't need to remove both caliper bolts just the top and caliper will fold back

you should have put the shims on ur new brake pads.

Just did the wife's rav4, no need to take the caliper off just remove the top bolt and swing the caliper down

If you take the bottom bolt out and loosen the top one,you don't have to take the caliper off completely.

You forgot to put back the pins on the break pads...😮

You will have noisy brakes.if you dont use the brake shims

Careful. Do not return the brake fluid, it is dirty and can damage the ABS system.

After you compress the piston and install the new pads do you have to do anything else?

You forgot the brake shims

looks like you should have replaced the rotors. Always replace old rotors.

By the love of God! Have the rotors turned!!!!! New pads with worn rotors defeats the purpose.

Why did Toyota come up with wear indicators? That's right, so that the Americans throw them in the trash. 😀

why can't you just swing the brake caliper out of the way by just removing the upper caliper bolt and loosening the lower one?
