Replacing the Fuel pump and sender on a 2013 Nissan Sentra because the sender is telling the customer lies. Vehicle ran out of gas.

I had the same problem with my Sentra it drove fine on the way home and I went back a few hours later it started up and started to hesitate and cut off tried to start it again I knew what It was. I'm glad that I was at home

I have this crank no start problem. I suspect the fuel pump I have no pressure at the tester but have some fuel out of the tester line but no pressure indicating on the tester. Is it just not strong enough to produce psi at all.

Is there a recall for the level sensor? Is the lock ring tool specific to Sentra or is it across all models?

no recall. The lock ring tool there is 3 diffrent tools for nissan. I believe that one in the video is altima and sentra.

Level sensors on rogues are failing as well. So be on the look out for that too.

timing chain guides wear out and make noise eventually causing major problems. if the engine has a whine when running its likely the timing chains.

Hello Hakim, in 2013 Nissan Sentra, I am getting one trouble code P0463 (Fuel level sensor circuit high input). The car is driving fine, no problem at all with ignition and fuel pump is also working fine. Only issue is with the fuel sensor/ sender (i think) as I am getting incorrect, fluctuating and erratic readings of fuel level in the tank. Is there any chance that this issue will go away after some days? Is it because of an electrical issue or loose wire connection of the sensor unit? Which brand of fuel pump and sensor (Model and part number) you used for replacement and what is the cost? Thanks.

Sorry dont remember the price. But i got the pump assembly from Nissan. they are pricey and most likely the cause of your problem. See if you can get the sender separately this might save you some money.

Question. When my car is idle it makes a funny noise and acts like it wants to die. My battery and brake light flicker on the dash as well as head and inside lights. When my AC is turned on it does it more. I replaced the Battery and Alternator last year. I don't have a problem starting it just when it's running. I don't have money to be ripped off and lied to about what the problem is. I need to know the possibilities for sure and fix the problem. Can you help Please? Car is 2013 Nissan Sentra Sv

check your belt. Possible loose belt, worn belt, pulley siezing or something like that. without looking at the car or hearing it. Pretty difficult to narrow it down. Could be a failing alternator (did you install a good brand or OEM alternator?)

What was the first symptoms? I have a 2012 and I think that's what's wrong with my car it just started a day ago I fueled up and it stayed at full for a day I drive 30 miles total a day .. not normal for my car.. tonight it read at full.. then a bar dropped and went back up to full then dropped a bar again

This is why you never buy a Nissan, the "special tool" he's talking about, if you want to buy one for yourself it willcost almost $300. And good luck getting that fuel tank clip ring off without that tank wrench. And 90% of the time when you have a bad fuel pump on a Nissan it's the fuel pressure regulator. You used to be able to buy them separately for about $18 but now you have to buy the entire fuel pump unit because they stop selling the fuel pump regulator.
