Using the lift to move the cvt from the Jack and into the box has to be one of the smartest things I think I've ever seen lol

I swapped out the transmission before I watched this video I wish I would have watched the video before. Props on your Technique! Just taking the front part of the gulf was a very smart move to get the starter out. I removed the front radiator Mount and pulled the radiator forward. But it didn't let me have access to the torque converter nuts. And sliding the transmission out with the torque converter still on the flywheel was a major pain in the you know what. Good job brother.

Dude! Thank you for posting this video! I work at a transmission shop and we couldn't figure out for the life of us to get the converter nuts. Taking off the intake pretty simple step, comes off easy converter nuts come off.

Having mine replaced today i thought i got a great deal on my daughters first car its 2022 i bought it with 12500 miles its a 2015 SENTRA the car looks brand new its been to dealer a couple of times already , thankfully this aweful CVT is covered by nissan but the brakes and airbag issue werent.

Do you line/guide torque converter studs in the flex plate before lining dowel pins or do you get the studs of torque converter after dowel pins are in bell housing bolts in.

Nice. I have a P0744 code only. 2014 Sentra. Runs but looses power. Torque converter solenoid is good and I replaced it to check but no change. Pan had clean fluid with no debris. Trans was pulled from a car that only had 800 miles before being wrecked. Could my problem be just the torque converter?

A question here... Besides the transmission and CVT fluid, what else is needed to do the replacement?

Your a nissan tech?? What is your opinion and expertise of your experience on changing the cvt fluid. A spill and fill or spill plus filters and fill. And how to do it. Drain and over fill plug. Then pan and clean the mags then put back and over fill and drain back on then 4.5 quarts in then get it warm and go through all gears then take out drain plug and let it come over the over fill evenly then drain back on and done or am i wrong i need to do it and i cant affors a tech

Love these videos! Quick question - is it possible to replace a carrier bearing in the diff on these? I think mine just died but no whine leading up to it. It's a grinding noise and reduced output that appears to be just from the diff. Seeing as the diff is integrated, I was curious. Thanks.

I had my transmission replaced and while it fixed the issues I was having my car feels like it accelerates slower than it did before. Can you think of any errors that could’ve been made that would cause this? I’ve taken it back but of course they say they can’t find anything if there’s no codes.

Really good work! Impressive ideas and techniques! One question though, are those brake lines fine to be holding those steering knuckles? I usually use bungie cords if I can't bolt them back up to the struts with the axles removed.

Hello I have this same car and it too have had the cvt replaced but now the exhaust is really loud.I went to Nissan and purchased the donut gasket and replace it and I'm still having that same problem. Is replacing the exhaust manifold difficult without a lift to do?I can't seem to find any diagrams which shows the removal process

Question at any point of this job did you have to mess with AC or ac lines because I have two family members that have their transmissions replaced all Nissan sentras and they both have AC issues but not right away maybe a few months later AC not efficient

My 2014 Sentra transmission is a RE0F11A. I've researched and found out that the Versa also uses the RE0F11A. The Versa transmission is almost a 1000 dollars cheaper on the used market. Will they swap between cars with no issues. Thanks

So, yesterday I took my 2014 Sentra in for a drain and refill service. I am sure you are aware that certain years and models had their cvt warranties extended due to the class action lawsuit. Now, as the technician began working on my car, I get a phone call from Nissan telling me that upon inspection of my vehicle, the technician noticed that apparently the transmission case was leaking. Have you seen this in your case of working on these cars? Is this a common issue? I asked the lady that called me what that meant for my car and what was expected afterward. She told me that because my car is still covered under extended warranty, because of the leak in the transmission case, they have to completely replace the whole trans. I am not complaining, in fact I am very relieved because I was so worried that my car was going to leave me stranded one day being that these cars already are known for bad transmissions. Anyways, I just wanted to know if you know about this issue at all and I appreciate it in advanced.

Replacing a CVT in a 2012 Versa. Basically same procedure I'm asuming? Got a reman unit from Nissan with a bunch of paperwork inside stressing the importance of reflash TCM after replacement. Says don't even drive the car to the dealer, tow it. I have a guy that can come out and do reflashing, but just curious if it's completely necessary. It's a 2012 with 28,000 miles on it. Pretty much has a bad torque converter. It's locked up. Customer wanted the rebuilt unit since Nissan offers this one with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty( parts and labor). Sure he's gonna need it

This transmission is easy to replaced. It's like Nissan knows the transmission is garbage that they designed it where it's easily replaced. This job can be done under 5 hrs with no breaks. Sentra are cheap and easily repairable. See this dude at my spot pulled out the sentra transmission, rebuilt it, and placed it back in and drive off in under 6 hrs.

Hey, why don’t you just remove the whole intake manifold assembly? Just curious... what is the benefit of removing it like that?
