Only the circuit board from my previous key I used. My circuit board was in good shape tho. I got the new key cut at the locksmith. It worked perfectly!

Ok so I've already ordered my new fob, my issue is exactly how your circuit board with the unlock black button missing is how mine is which I'm unsure what to do about that becus switching the circuit board to the new fob does nothing if the unlock nob is broke 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I'm so frustrated

Aye man I got thee SAAAME fob. The problem is the metal piece that connects (to the key) you have to punch the tiny pin out and slip your key in for it to flick open and for the button to pop out I put all the amazon pieces back in and it worked perfect but not with my original key parts 9mo late but good video the way you used the top to tension the spring was genius hahaha

By they way I just did mine. Get yourself a cheap dremel/rotary tool and cut it off. Also, you have to rotate the key 360 degrees on the spring to get tension before snapping the plastic cover on. That’s why it’s not working. You can pop it back off and fix it. The second one is easy to pop off unlike the originals. Just unscrew it and it pops open easily.

So let me get this straight You tried giving an instructional video of something you have absolutely no idea how to properly do so basically it's a video about showing us how to break the remote shell thanks for nothing

I was having same problem.

You should have removed the bow tie from the back of the old fob to remove the screw and the old fob would have opened easily, also you didn't put the spring in properly thats why the pop out push button not working for the hard key. 😉

Yoooo! thanks bro just what i needed. 👍🏿An just a heads up i also had to turn the key a few times counter clockwise on that spring to adjust how fast the key would eject when i pressed the button.

So you have to actually move the Pin and put your key in the new key holder put the pin back in beacuse the old one wont fit

Bro i just went through the same thing. I ended up just going to the dealer. Check Ginn chevrolet in covington if you tryna get another one. They charged me 60 bucks for the fob and to cut the key
