The sport mode really makes a difference on response and taking curves. The base model ATS really is a great car for the affordability factor.

Hi. I know this is 6yrs old that you posted the comment but I have a 14 ATS 2.5 and was hoping you or someone could offer some advice. It's a great car but I'm having rough low/stop idle and dieing at red lights, stop signs. I've had P0017 exhaust camshaft sensor replaced ( it finally pulled a code on that ) while the dealership was cleaning the throttle body. The car runs out great other than this issue. It's got 63k and the next thing that was suggested is a timing chain replacement 2,300 but they are starting to have to guess and rule out what could be the problem. Being a female I don't have a clue about all this. Did you or anyone else have this kind of issue? Any thoughts would be very appreciated!!

the interior colors you were speaking of is "Cashmere and Cocoa" and the wood trim is Zebra wood. :-)

How can you tell someone not to be negative when reviewing something? Do you not realize how silly that is? If his opinion of the product is negative, then he MUST "be negative". Otherwise, he's just lying to you. And what's the point of watching reviews if everyone just acts positive and says everything is great?!?

@@davecarsley8773 Because it's better made than all the German cars in it's class. All the 2013 German cars that were daily driven are clapped out now, while these base cts's are running perfectly.

Great Review. I really like the ATS as well. I have never seen a review on the base model so this different in that aspect. If I had my choice as ATS daily driver, I would pick the 2.0T with AWD since I live in the DC area.

I got my ats 2014 cadillac, and so far, im loving it ... The only thing i noticed yesterday was that one of the dignal lights was on, and the one on the right was off. I took it to get it checked, and both were working . So im not sure about that Does anyone else have the same issue.

I think it's really quite good, however I will say a non turbo four in a sport sedan is rather unimpressive

Our 2015 nissan altima 2.5 s as a rental had those black these too on the license plate and cause we live in texas i had a video of it but i delete on accident

Sad to say, but the ATS can be had in a baser form then this. This model is the 2.5 Luxury, the 2.5 Standard doesn't have 8in. Cue, Brembo brakes, rear view camera, etc.

No, the Camaro is on the ats/cts chassis. The Camaro didn’t get the alpha chassis till 2016. The ats debuted the alpha platform in 2012 for 2013 model year….

I just feel basic 2.5 will have less problems than the 2.0Turbo. I might just go with a manual version because of the mixed reviews. I don't need Northstar 2.0T. 👍🏿Nice review!

The 2.5 is a dog. The 2.0 turbo is a wayy better engine.

The 2.0 is not a north star engine,, it’s a LTG. Deathstars are a nightmare, especially engine work but the LTG is more reliable. Just get regular oil changes and use 93 gas and you’re good.

Scary and horrible I owned a truck before this car and forgot I'm not in a truck anymore hit a pothole was praying I didn't damage anything you have to go over them slowly and carefully 👀🥴

David Mills LOL the vehicle doesnt rev over 4k so it doesnt hurt the engine.... revving is the least of ur problem

+Jaquy Burns Not sure where you got the idea that the Jaguar was broken down. It was completely fine mechanically for the 2 years we had it. Had one issue with the shifter after we got it but that was it.

Just because you put the car in manual and drive the rpm's as high as they go until redlined doesn't make the car any faster and not "sluggish" anymore. Its the DRIVER! This is a turbo charged 2.0. You are best to switch gears at 5500 RPMs rather than waiting for the turbo to be completely out of breath thats why its so SLOW. USER ERROR. lol

There is only one thing I like about cadillac sedans.....handling.... The only engine good cadillac has is the v8's and maybe the 3.6. Their base engines SUCK. I do hate bashing on a gm vehicle just from my past, last thing to be a female dog about GM's 6 speed is a just sluggish and not good. Other wise i'll take a CTS with a 3.6 and AWD
