Here's the in-depth look at my new 2014 Chevy Cruze 1LT with the RS package. I really like this car, drives very nice, decent ride, and some neat toys for someone who has never bought a new car before.

Almost time to do the 10 year update if you still have her! I miss my 2016 Cruze 1LT RS so much. Traded her in back in 2020 for an SUV. I know where she is right now. I pass by the house where her new owner is regularly. If I win a bit of money, I will knock on buddies door and offer them something for her back lol

She is one pretty car, I'd say a much better choice than the focus. She should last you a while, just like any chevy!

I had been driving a 1991 CHEVY Z24 for 24 years.So that ought to tell you something about Chevys.Still runs and looks new. But situation changed and ended up with a 2012 Cruze and its one NICE car.Plenty of get up and go,( this 4 cylinder engine is equal to those v 6's of years ago folks) and its so quiet inside you cant hear the engine run at highway speeds. Get one if you can folks!

That a nice looking car. I'm amazed at how powerful those little turbo 4 cyl's feel. My brother has a new Fusion with a 1.6 Turbo and I was really impressed by it. Looks like it has everything you could want. I'm sure the six speed makes it more fun too.

The Chevy Cruze 1.8L Eco Tech LS 6 speed manual transmission. It has low & high gear box it like to drive in low RPM. If you are climbing hills you need to shift down to fourth possibly third gear. This gives the manual transmission time to speed up.

I had a 2012 Black 1LT RS I loved it. Unfortunately I let my mother borrow it one day and a guy blew red light and hit her, car got totaled. I didn't buy anything after that just went back to driving my trucks.

i have the same color and so does 1k other people in my area so to make mine stand out from the others i added a red racer strip on the left (driver side) now people think its a CHARGER. LOL. I liked my cruze at first but when i added the stripe i loved my cruze.

Very nice car, looking to possibly trade my 10 Cobalt SS in for one of these.....looking for something a little more refined and comfortable....only thing that concerns me is the lack of hp/torque coming from the SS which has 280hp and over 300 ftlb torque. Lots of luck with the car

New Cruze owner here, great review! I just got a '13 2lt rs with 84k miles. Any tips I should watch for as far as major repairs? Also I was mainly comparing it with another 2 versions of the cruze (with more miles) and a couple Focuses (Focii?) one was a hatchback. So far happy with my choice, fun to drive and I think it's good for my first manual trans car.

When I checked the dipstick for the motor oil I did not read any oil added two quarts of oil to fill back up.

How is the maintenance on this car? I see you have only had it for a short while i am guessing. But we are looking into getting this car, an automatic. Cuz we are city drivers and where we are a manual is not that good. Plus we have a manual suv. already. Also how are the blind spots? Are there any? Are they bad if there is any?

Nice new car Brian and do you know what I have a friend who drive a 2003 Nissan Maxima and he's car is equipped with the indicator off temperature for Inside and outside temperature. To go to work you should use your Chevrolet cruze.

She's been good to me for the last few months. Just took it in yesterday for a recall notice on one of the CV axles (no repair needed), and an A/C line with some oil on it (excess assembly lube oozing from a fitting). No other issues to date. Got about 3300 miles on her now.

I bought the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze 1lt Rs 1.4L with only 4 miles 1 week later check engine light comes on I popped the hood open to my surprise motor oil on the top backside and bottom I took it back to the dealership and they fixed it I try to exchange it for a different car but they didn't want to so now I'm stuck with this car and now only have had this car for only 12 days hopefully it doesn't break down again

I've had problems with mine also. I have a 2013 eco, and I've had the driver info center stop working, weird buzzing noise after turning the car off, clutch getting stuck, gears grinding, and on top of all that, gm just announced a recall on them again

I'm currently looking at these cars. I test drove one and absolutely loved, so my mind is pretty much already made up. But, I was going to ask how you like yours? Being that I see this was uploaded in January, you've had about six months of driving it I am assuming. Is it reliable? Have you had any issues? Thanks in advance if you reply!

I like my little Cruze. IT rides good, gets exceptional fuel economy, looks sharp, and is comfortable to drive. I would definitely recommend one. Two recalls on mine, one for a drive axle, and a new one for an air bag actuator, but no problems to report. I have just over 5,000 miles on mine, and I'm averaging 34 mpg. Hope you enjoy yours when you get it!

pearsonba350 I finally bought mine. I bought the Chevrolet Cruze 1LT with the RS package as well. I ordered mine with exactly what I wanted (I'm a picky person, haha). I ended up getting the technology package as well with the Chevrolet MyLink which is a 7" widescreen display in the dash with all sorts of neat features including a backup camera (Which I actually don't use often, I prefer looking behind me). I got it in the Black Granite Metallic color though, beautiful in the sun. I just wanted to thank you for the videos you made of your Cruze, it actually helped me decide a bit. I have been looking at cars in this class for a couple months and this is the car I wanted the most. Already has 547 miles on it and I'm thoroughly enjoying this car. Have owned it for 5 days now.

Maui Kahiapo I absolutely love my Cruze. I have no problems to report as of yet. I don't drive that often so I only have 1004 miles on it so far. I really like the feature that OnStar offers allowing me to control certain things from my smartphone, such as unlocking/locking my doors or starting my car and even sending directions to my car's navigation system or even locating the exact location my car is in the parking lot. I'm getting an average of 33mpg, which is almost all in town. On interstate I average 39mpg. I really enjoy the features the mylink touchscreen offers, was definitely worth the little extra for the screen. Hope this helps!

if i was to have that car i would want the highest model they have and it must have every option and the ones u have to pay extra for and it must be in black outside and all red inside right down to the dash and steering wheel being red. but thats just me i am picky with how the car must be and how it has to be colored

+baseer rahimi I average about 35.5 miles per gallon, that's after owning the car for two and a half years, driving almost 22,000 miles. And that is a pretty even mix of highway and city driving.

....yes navigation is provided by OnStar controls right on the rearview mirror you just speak directly to an operator....additionally chevy mylink on the optional tech package

I'm 6'1", and I fit just fine. Lots of head room, and I don't have the seat all the way back. These new cars are surprisingly roomy inside now days...

Thodoris Karamourat Who knows. They started deleting random stuff as the years go on. IIRC they gave everyone but eco 6m a spare and took the Z link away unless you had a higher trim. Then there was the deletes for Eco 6MT that kind of made no sense in the real world MPG.

truthfully you can barely see out the back window over the 2 that are still there. that may be the reason it left. My car is missing that center headrest and that arm rest as well.

Yup- 3-1/2 years now, just over 32,000 miles. No problems at all- with the car itself. Been hit a few times in the parking lot, had a window busted out on my drive to work, but the car runs great!

In my opinion, very big waste of money. It's a car. It's just as reliable as any 2000 dollar Honda, if not less reliable. I don't see why people buy new cars. Please let me know!
