Amazing. I've been driving my 2014 Ford Escape around for years thinking that this would be hundreds of dollars to have done at a dealership. This worked like a charm. Wow. Took 10 seconds.

Ok, tried this. first time, no luck. I repeated and it worked. This after the lock store said they couldn't do it and I woud have to take it to a dealer. Dealer said they could try, but as it was an aftermarket it was $125 whether it worked or not. Over $325 (i think, $300 +). So, it was $150 when done, I just had to find this video to make it work. Thanks. PS, in order to program a key yourself, make sure you keep a working key put away so you always have a working one (this car takes two to program a cut blank per manual). I didn't find this procedure in the owners manual for the remote function though).

Worked perfectly for a 2013 too. You have to turn key like 12 times.

Wondering to know how to reprogram the remote func for both of my old key and backup key. Both of them have new batteries and tried ur method but still does not work

I did not hear the beat on 2016 Focus. Tried with door open and close but no luck. The new key was programmed ok.

I did the same, was able to have the lock and unlock to work but the new key don’t start the car. Any suggestions

Use that key in your door lock to lock/unlock your car. If it doesn't do anything you might have to go back to where you had your key cut and they should see what the problem is. It's usually not a computer problem on these cars.

Same for me. And I did try it on the doors, and it worked. It just won’t start it. Any suggestions?

You have to program your blade key as well, separately first. To use start/stop the engine is the first option and the open/close door is the second option. Here is a link to how to do it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f7-Adtagtr-4oqs.html
