I always worry using the trolley jack on those thin rails points, managed to bend the metal from the round disc on the trolley jack

The rails on this car are starting to show a little bit of wear from the jack too. I try to be as slow and deliberate as possible when applying force but I'm sure over time they will get pretty worn. I have tried using a piece of 2x4 between the jack and the rails in the past to distribute the load, but the sound of splitting wood scared me off of that idea pretty quick.

@@crossedhelix8698 why not get a square piece of 1/4 inch metal instead of wood

It’s better to jack up on the control arm and put the jack stand in the slot behind the pinch rail

Would this be the same for the 2017 focus se?

Did you jack up the rear high enough to put both jack stands under at one time? I’m confused how you would only be able to do a side at a time. Thanks!

Id put bricks or something under the tires, just incase of jack failure
