With over 20 models sold by Honda here in the U.S.; it's hard to understand why this vehicle exists But as sales have shown, there is a niche for this vehicle in the CUV segment. The Honda Crosstour is a great choices for a number of different car buyers including: families, couples with young children, and even retired people where an Accord or Camry isn't quite enough as they need that extra space out back but do not necessarily want to invest in an SUV or large CUV. Hence the Crosstour is the perfect vehicle.
For the first few years of its existence, the Crosstour did not compete very well with other vehicles in this segment like the Toyota Venza or the Subaru Outback. But Honda has given this car a new lease on life with beefier looks, luxurious interior, and upgraded powerplant. The result is improved sales and a car that meets the needs of more people, perfectly.
Under the hood lives an Earth Dreams V-6 engine that includes Variable Valve Timing and Variable Cylinder Management. The 3.5 liter V-6 engine makes 278 horsepower and 252 lb-ft. of torque. Power is put down through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is 20 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. There is also a less powerful 4-cylinder that averages a little bit better fuel economy.
On the inside, the Crosstour has a very nice design. There are 2 screen located in the center console, one controls the navigation and while the other is for the radio. The 2014 Honda Crosstour is a good buy if need extra cargo space along with the reliability of a Honda.
