Thank you for your feedback. Yes I have heard that issue in some of the older Pilots but I think Honda has changed the system and it is much better now. I don't really do 'reviews' because so many people do them and they cover about everything on the vehicle Except the tips and tricks.

I started to watch because the title said 2014 which I own. Many of the set up options are different from the 2013 Honda CRV.

yes it is compatible. Please remember that different phones will not do everything. Honda has a web page that can list all the features for all the different phones. the mail differences between LX and EX are tinted windows, power front seat, alloy rims and Sunroof. I intend to purchase this model year sometime in the near future. I actually test drove one on yesterday, as well as its big brother, the Honda Pilot. I like the way how they both drive.

They are the same around the speedometer but the iMID screen you can change the color.

Congrats on your new CRV. Yes after pressing the 'phone' button select 'NO' and it will prompt you to add a phone. or in the phone settings menu you can 'add' a phone. Please let me know if that works

Hi Jason, I just picked up the CRV EXL, and I love it. I'm coming from a car, which I put in a custom audio system in. The audio is okay on the crv, but I'd like to improve it. Should I transfer my amps and 10" subwoofer to this vehicle? And do you think I'd benefit from replacing the stock speakers? I can't seem to find any documentation on the brand of speakers, or if the head unit has hi volt RCA preouts.

Hi Jason, is there a way to turn off the Auto-Lock once you drive a certain speed? It's nice, but it's sometimes annoying. My mom barely knows what the buttons do, so my dad and I have to do it all for her. Is there a door settings or something? And how do you change the dash lights like you mentioned before? (2011 Oddyssey EX-L controls)

Hi, thanks alot for very informative tips, i got my 2014 CRV with satnav few weeks ago, problem i have us the small screen on top shows Aux so my radio/satnav screen remains off and i cannot get rid of it, any advice?

There is a setting in the audio setting screen named RDS. It should be turned on. Please let me know if that works

@@charleskiragu1735 if you can't read that manual, you can use a camera app to translate it for you by simply using the camera and show what does it say and for it to translate it for you.

I noticed when my front wipers are on, the rear wiper will come on as well if you shift into (R)everse, a nice feature.

Using a touchscreen Honda Radio, how do you get in to developer mode, and take a snap shot (screenshot)to a USB stick? Do you know more than just the basic features that only old people have trouble with?

Hi Jason, Great video. I just switched cars from a Toyota Prius 2012 to the Honda CRV EX 2014. I had voice recognition of contacts to use my phone to make a call in the Prius. Cant figure out how to do it in the CRV. Is it available?

Jason, my question is when you pair multiple phones on the CRV does the phonebook from each phone get downloaded and do they stay separate? My fear is when you download them they combine to make one phone book. I assume that the phone that is currently selected will only have access to their own phonebook. COuld you verify that please?? Jason, could you please show this for the CR-V w the Navigation system? Also, how does one Pause/Play music from the iPhone Music app if the iPhone is connected to the CR-V through the USB port? The UI on the screen (of vehicles w the Nav system) seems to have the skip buttons, but no Pause/Play.

I've got a 2014 and need a questioned answered. I had to change out the battery in the key fob. And initially I installed it upside down. I opened it back up and swapped it around, and SOMETIMES the little red light on the fob will still come on but won't open doors. I've tried multiple times to do the turn to on, press, turn it off 3 times then once more trick with no luck. Is the fob fried now, or can it be resurrected and if so how. Please.

I was hoping you were going to cover the compass. Just bought mine used a couple months ago, and the compass is always flashing. I've tried following the manual to set it and it won't start the calibration process. I put the key into no. II position and press the set up button and nothing happens. WHATS UP?

I am not sure if the CR-V in the US has the folding side mirrors. In Australia it has the folding mirrors, but it doesn't auto-fold on lock. Do you have any tips to do this?

Yes you can leave a battery disconnected for a 10 month period. I would recommend driving the car for the brakes and some fluids to move around.

Did your blue tooth ever allow you to make outgoing calls that the receiver of your call could actually understand you when speaking? or did you sound garbled to them? Never could resolve my issue. Honda did not fix. I understand that is the case for hundreds of 2013 honda owners. Toyota's are fine.

I bought a new 1.6D SR CR-V. My phone Samsung Galaxy Y keeps disconnecting. Dealer says phone not compatible, I asked Honda they have not confirmed or denied. Bluetooth is V3.0 with A2DP.HS. Can you advise Jason?

After a lot of manual reading and trials with several drives, I finally got, using all of the steps that your video showed, a wall paper loaded to the screen.....but....unlike your demonstration where your import filled the entire screen, my wallpaper is a small patch maybe 25% of the size of the screen. How do I expand it to fill the screen. BTW.....numerous wallpaper attempts were rejected....too large.... too large....too large. Do I have to somehow get to some size of file that is one screen's worth to fill the screen?

i tried to connect my galaxy s3 to my 2013 honda crv with usb...it pairs with bluetooth just fine the music plays but i cant get the display on the dash. i tried for hours today and could'nt get it to work please help

My 2013 CRV will only take calls from my Samsung galaxy S4 it wont play any music from the phone at all and when I try to hook it up via usb it says its not supported. What if anything can I do to get it to play my music from my phone?
