A spot on vid about this amateur's sports thrill-a-minute tourer. A superb all-rounder of a bike that does everything well and nothing brilliant. Perfect!! 👍

I am SO in love with my current ride, the vfr750, that I ride it every single day. I can't wait to get my leg over this thing! Finally, the vfr is back... although, the 1200 was seemingly a good bike, it just wasn't a true vfr to me. Thank you Honda, for bringing back the best motorcycle, ever built.

I also have a vfr750, 1997. In test riding the new vfr I noticed the light and quick steering.and the brakes as big improvements. On the negative, the engine gas lost its character. Its too smooth and refined...and quiet! If someone rode the new one and had never ridden either the earlier 750 or the 5th gen 800 (1998) they would never know the true vfr feeling. My God that exhaust is ugly.

The VFR used to be the motorcycle of choice for Japan's motorcycle police division. I think they use the Yamaha XJR 1300 currently though.

They still make the 1200 version but they seem to be hard to find.

I'm wondering if it still has the linked braking system. I actually liked it.

can the narrator sound even more monotone? It's like he's delivering a sermon in church

Would you like him to dance a jig while singing the commentary? He's speaking like a normal person, not some falsely overexcited douche like everyone else on TV.

This is what you get when someone is reading a script rather than just talking off-the-cuff about the features.

I went in to test ride one of these, sat down and immediately changed my mind. Cramped doesn't begin to explain it. This bike is for tiny people.

That's a real bummer. I test rode a 2007 VFR a while back, and it fit my 6'2" frame nicely. A tad sporty position, but way better than a real sport bike. This does look a bit smaller in person, though. Also, just my opinion, but the older style looked better than this. This looks a bit more generic.

compared to a sportbike?

I had a 2006 Interceptor. I'm 6'2"also, and 175lbs. I loved that bike. It was all day comfy. I find out hard to believe they would change the ergos that much. Only thing I put on mine was a Givi touring screen. One thing I hate is the single side exhaust. The undertail exhaust was not only cool, but it didn't intrude on my Givi side cases. The new model cuts into storage space. I imagine they had to go with the single exhaust because they moved the dua sidel radiators to a single, central radiator. Who knows. I've seen that they aren't selling at all and dealers really don't like ordering them. I've seen them online, brand new, for $9,500 USD.
