My 2012 impreza with the CVT transmission got stuck today when I was playing in about 5" of snow. In the subaru's defense it was hard packed snow and it has pretty crappy stock all season tires. If you got the sport limited version you know what I'm talkin about. But it still gets me around in the snow way better than the average car. Love Subaru!

Its the approach light the thing on the sticker you did not know Its more for people your picking up who don't ride with you very often can see the ground and handle of the car Or just showing it off it looks cool

The name Subaru means some group of stars in Japanese, so I think the LED on the mirror is to imitate those stars shinning.

It might be a light to illuminate it when you unock it at night...or it may have to do with EyeSight.

Well look at the turn signal and wiper stalks, the chime (very similar, but not exactly like Toyota's new chime) and so many other little details inside the car. They all are bits from Toyota.

Toyota owns a minor share of Subaru's parent company. The BRZ might have more Toyota-looking parts as it was a joint venture, but likely not this one. Also, lots of those parts (buttons, keys and so on) are usually made by parts suppliers, so they might just get their parts from the same supplier, and that supplier is likely not Toyota itself...

Toyota owns majority of Suburu? You learn something new everyday. Those buttons definitely look like buttons in my Camry.

Fuji Heavy Industry owns both they're sister companies. the window switches on my 08 impreza are nissan made. the japanese seem to kind of stick together and help each other out compared to the domestic trio.

Shishizurui Toyota owns 16.5% of FHI (Fuji Heavy Industries), who also owns Subaru

I realize Toyota owns a certain percentage of Subaru, but i don't agree there are any Toyota "parts" in the Forester at least. The window switches, power mirrors switches, cruise control operation and such, radios, doors/seals are nothing like Toyota.

Somewhat of an informative review. Helpful maybe to someone who wants an introduction to the Forester. But I found your touching, poking, pulling and tapping on everything you were talking about to be extremely annoying.

Damnit tool commenter. Stop making stupid comments that just prove how much you like riding the short bus to school. Wheels are wheels, no matter what size they are. Rims refer to the outer section of multi-piece wheels. "Rims" is also a slang term for any attractive, after-market looking wheel, regardless of size. Do some research before acting stupid next time.
