With the kids grown, was time to look for a weekend getaway car. Test drove a TON of convertibles, Audi, Saab, Volvo, Mustang, Chrysler, EOS--to be honest Beetle wasn't even on our radar, BUT at a dealership we were at looking at another on our list, was a good looking 2013 2.0T. For S&G's we took it for a drive and INSTANTLY both my wife and I had a smile on our faces! This car was just fun to drive. The 2.0T has enough ooommphh and the suspension enough grip to give it a sporty feel. There's enough room in the trunk for two weekend size suitcases, and the Fender sound system is actually pretty darn nice! We bought it and it's perfect for spontaneous trips or just a therapeutic drive through the country roads to enjoy the sun, scenery and wind in your hair!

The new beetle looks much better than the early 2000s models. The turbo looks awesome and more manlier than ever

I am six foot one and I sat in the back of a 2014 beetle for 5 hours on a road trip and it wasn’t that bad as long as the driver lets you out at least once or twice and the noise isn’t bad too

I had a 2002 Turbo S and I still miss that Beetle. The 2.0T coupe would be a great replacement, but the convertible definitely has its charms. Might even go TDI.

Interior is O.K. What we Käfer's Lovers can't stand is the exteror. VW could have done better to leave the exterior unchanged or at least done little, minimal, necesarry modifications. People have always loved the Käfer (Beetle) priciplally for ist exterior.

Our diesel VW Jetta broke down with major problems often. It left my family stranded on our family trip. Their service and quality S U C K S! We are going Japanese. I'm so Sad there is no more Quality in German like the 80's German cars. I really believed in them and wanted to support them.
