I love the new iPhone SE because THAT IS ALL I NEED and wish there was a MacBook equivalent to compete with the more affordable PC laptops. It might cannabilize some high end MBP market share but would certainly make it up by brining PC users over. It would also kill the 2nd hand MBP market which is very strong.

Really the SD slot is the only port I miss while portable. I have a travel hub but putting the SD in the travel hub and having to "eject" it everytime I unplug the hub is annoying. I used to just leave the SD (actually a TFS in a SD caddy) in all the time even while in the laptop bag. I could quickly swap between my Surface and MacBook with really quickly now I have to remember it is in the hub.

VERY NICE REVIEW! Will definitely consider the 16inch 2020 version soon! I still have the ever dependable Mid-2015 15Inch Macbook pro and it does wonders without the need to bring a lot of dongle adapters and cables, sure it does not have the convenience of having that one touch authentication and has a slighter weight but who would have noticed those few grams anyways? :) Got the 2018 15Inch Macbook pro retina w/ touch bar, after 2 years, it already has a lot of issues, left speakers dead/grounded, keyboards frequently stuck, very noisy key strikes even with its thinner profile (especially when you're trying to sneak work during midnight trying not to wake up your wife :) ) and a really noisy fan that will eventually translate to your laptop being slow at times especially when you're working on multiple tasks/windows, the only thing i love about it is the One Touch authentication which is the most convenient thing and the type c charging which is seriously fast, screen is ok but not something worth upgrading if you already own the 2015 one. Just get a better 4k monitor from Dell or LG and it should set you up nicely if color quality really matters to you :)

Cool bro ! I am french, do you know if the 2019 in 15 Inch has the same performance? I prefer 15 than 16
@taesang56644 жыл бұрын
wow they really did a good job with the speakers. you could barely hear the bass in the 15” but it sounds quite deep in the 16”

Since Apple wants to touchbar so much and since there is plenty of room, why isn't the touchbar separate from the physical keyboard, closer to the screen? I mean, have the physical keys and over it the touch bar?

@@winnermatt1180 As he said, it's for his company. In germany for example, you could get back the half of the price by your tax return, when you need that device for your company. So it's not a big deal, it's just normal operational expenditure.

You got a couple things wrong in this video, the newer macbooks dont have the glowing logo because light was shining through the translucent plastic and burning the display

Great video as always...I started my KZfaq channel using a mid 2012 MacBook pro as my editing computer even though it doesn't perform so well... Hoping to upgrade to a better model as the channel grows.

If I was doing video production I might say, go for a maxed 16" current gen MBP... but then again, good video should probably be done on a desktop machine anyway. Since I do UI/UX, the 2015 is plenty fast enough for what I do.

Just bought a 2015 MacBook Pro pretty much fully loaded except for the SSD is 500 MB but it's got the extra graphics card AMD. I got it on Back Market for $395 and the condition is specified as "excellent" which with this company means essentially brand new. I believe I will get at least another 5 to 10 years out of it but will probably replace it with an M2 or M3 five years from now

Will you do a video editing comparison between the new MacBook Pro 16 with the MSI Creator or another Windows laptop with a high end GPU. The XPS 15 is nice, but there are so many more powerful options that are still cheaper than a MacBook Pro 16.

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bJ5iiZlk0srOiXk.html Here's a video from Snazzy Labs with the 2019 2.4GHz 8-core 15" MBP. His 2.4 15" model scored 3231 in Cinebench R20 Our 2.3 15" model scored 3183 That's about 1% faster performance for $200 more. The results should stay around the same for the 16", and even if it goes up to 3% faster, it's still not worth $200.

Thank you very much for this LONG AWAITED and HOPED comparison :) Thanks a lot! Now only one thing remain :) Full FCPX comparison between both these machines :) Ok. The 16'' is insane but frankly I expected a little more...but I guess that in a real scenario the gap is much more consistent than what we see here in these benchmark. Or...I hope so :) I have a question... Why did you use Geekbench 4 and not Geekbench 5? Also...it seems that your model 2015 is a little bit...TOO SLOW I repeated the same test you did and I got much higher score on my maxed out 2015, especially for all the GPU performance. Here are my results: Geekbench4 CPU: Single 4654, Multicore 16415 Geekbench4 GPU Metal: 39445 Geekbench4 GPU OpenCL: 37700 Cinebench R20: 1453 UNIGINE HEAVEN EXTREME: Score 318, FPS 12.6 (min 5.3 max 23.8)

I’m still considering getting the 2015 MacBook Pro because I mostly just want MacOS. I’m very confident that I can get most of my daily needs satisfied by the 2018 iPad Pro, with only desktop-related tasks done on the Mac device I end up getting. It’s either the 2015 MacBook Pro or the 2018 Mac Mini.
