can you do a video showing the capabilities of the m4 ipad pro for microsoft office apps, apple pages, wix or some online applications, showing what functionality restrictions compare to a laptop? Lots of us are wondering if we could get by with the ipad pro as a laptop replacement but are unsure of the difference in software. Would be nice to have the ipad pro for its apps but also use excel and powerpoint and word at its full capability

I bet this pathetic Ipad running IpadOS because of the power struggle between Mac Book and Ipad departments. They both need to make sure their own survival and job security. If Jobs were still alive, the ipad would have been a lot different. Very few people who really need this M4 Ipad Pro if it is running IPadOS. It is good news for Mac Book Department but it is bad news for most potential buyers! I would pay 2X if it could run the MacOS software!

It's not hands down the best phone for gaming, nor will an iPhone ever be. Check your facts buddy, there's several other phones in the market that are a decade ahead of iPhone.

Who would use an iPad for video editing? Perhaps you need to use 2TB iCloud, Dropbox, or a USB-C port for the copies. Software and games requirements are still far behind. Additionally, the app commission and license fees are too high, and the iPad user base is tiny, so many big developers do not focus on the M4 iPad. It is not necessary to have an overkill CPU with a higher selling price, as the iPad is mostly used for entertainment or drawing purposes.

To be honest, it looks like the M2 11 inch has slightly thicker bezels then the M1 does but the 13 inch M2 has thinner bezels.

Dude, 90% of the users never use the apps you use. I had an M1 macbook air. It exceeds my expectations. If I need more power, I can always buy an Azure VM, pay on-demand, and kill it. Again, for over 90% of the users, the base model is more than enough.

Hey Max. Would you be able to explain why your Geekbench test shows only 7.23 GB of memory for the 8 GB models? I ran Geekbench on my 13 inch M4 iPad 16,5 with 1TB storage and it shows that I only have 15 GB of the advertised 16 GB. What gives? Thanks

For the fist time i have really regretted buying the Iphone 15 pro max. The overheating problem not while charging, but especially whilst taking a Video is shameful. I took i 2919 with my Iphone 10 XS Max a long vive video ig my favorite Metalcoreband in SF without the pjhone getting warm at all. I did tge same a few few weeks ago and after 4 minutes of nonstop 4 K recording i had to stop. The phone got so hot that it almost caused burns on my hands. Sadly the Deadline to return is over. Since i’m an an IT and Guitarist i will definitely purchase the S 24 Ultra as soon as i can especially now with the up to 90 seconds Video upload to X. Thank you for your honesty Max

I can't wait to see the air 13 inch vs pro 12.9 inch and 13inch comparison. Hopefully thats coming soon. Not sure if I should get the air 13inch or if I should just stay with my pro 12.9 inch ipad.

Definitely the 13” M2 Air is the best bargain. I am a designer, so I regularly use the iPad to draw, conceptualize, etc. The bells and whistles on the Pro models are really not worthwhile. M4 is not going to do anything the M2 can’t with the current iPadOS and available applications.

I appreciate the screen comparison but I kind of wish he had compared the 12.9 inch M2 with mini LED to the OLED as well. Everybody can easily assume OLED is vastly superior to the old 11 inch LCD, but I suspect what a lot of people are wondering is, how much better is OLED than the mini LED? My experience was that the mini LED iPad was an appreciable improvement over LCD and I am curious if it's that same degree of improvement with the OLED or if someone would say mini LED comes pretty close and it's not a reason to upgrade?

Almost all big OLED monitors have very less low frequency PWM issue. Not sure why Apple keeps using low frequency PWM (480Hz) for their OLEDs, just for low cost and want maximum profit? iFixit's latest tear down implies M4 iPad Pro might have 12GB RAM originally. So 8GB is a business operation ?

I got caught in a heavy thunderstorm which soaked me, my bag and washed out my iPad Pro (2018 version). The Apple Store wanted me to buy a new one but i simply replace my 1TB 2018 model for RMB 5000. In Us that’s 920$. It still works fine - sure i want Logic and FCX but that can wait. What will make me jump is the iOS/MacOS upgrade.

Why didn't Apple just made the current SE screen edge to edge and include FaceID? not that they cannot afford it. The SE curvy design is simply better than the sharp edge the current models have.

Just exchanged my 1 day old iPad Pro M4 after the screen went black while downloading a few apps, and the device could not be revived. Battery was 100%-fresh off the charger. Apple Store tech could not revive it either. A bit disappointed.
