I got tired of my tailgate unlocking by itself and falling down randomly, so I unplugged the connection that controlled the lock. I finally wanted to get it fixed the correct why and didn't want the hassle of taking it to the dealer for the recall to be fixed. It's listed under Safety Recall V44 / NHTSA 19V-347. The part was very inexpensive and the repair was easy and straightforward. Thankfully this seems to have fixed my problem, so if you're like me and don't want to take it to the dealer, or just like working on things yourself, should be a easy repair.
