I always see this car here in Myrtle Beach in the winter, In fact I seen one yesterday at Dicks Sporting Goods, and it is always a Canadian driving it!

Michael Miller I am positive it was this car. I know how the Chevy Captiva(Saturn Vue) looks. Anyways it was somebody from Ontario, so it makes sense for them to be driving this car.

Trax has been available in Canada for a while now, as has the Orlando which we also do not get in the states.

Looks like another great step in the right direction at least for Chevy. Functional, with a nice design that's not crazy-looking. I like this. I know it's a step down from a Ford Escape, but it's probably a LOT cheaper than one, too. (My ideal car is BMW, and I'm sure I'll own one again someday but for now we need more affordable rides and we like to buy American cars if they're decent. So this could be in the running for my next "poor man's" X3 lol.)

I have this in mind but the 2016 Tahoe is also on the list of my top 15 suv's. I will go to my most expensive suv to least on a video That I will be making. If I don't qualify for I work my way down or go somewhere else.

The way the AWD system works seems to make more sense. Starting out in AWD then switching to FWD if no slip is detected. This would seem to work better in winter driving. Do any other vehicles AWD systems work this way?

To the commentator below, it's nothing like a Tracker. The Tracker was body on frame, with full 4WD including low range. It also was a Suzuki product whereas this is closer to a Daewoo, I'd actually prefer a Tracker if they were still available.

Hang on, we're discussing a new SUV, GM's latest contribution to the fastest growing sector (?) of the US car market, and the standout feature of the car is WiFi ??????? Proof, if proof were needed, that the vast majority of the car buying public don't give a toss about power, torque, handling, grip etc., they just want convenience and reliability.

I'm telling you man, the days of driving enthusiasts are waning before our eyes. Not only do phones have access to internet or more importantly... SOCIAL MEDIA, but now our fucking cars do. That's all that everybody cares about. Nothing but sheep. What's next? Washing machines with WiFi? Coffee makers? Heavy machinery? EVERYTHING is connected now. That also means when the day the oppressive government or North Korea/China decides to take over, they'll just hack their way in and shut everything down!

Probably underpowered. No analogue speedometer? Is that a galvanized steel exhaust system? They always used to use those and they'd rust out every 30K miles. I ran a 2000 Camry for almost 200K miles and never had to touch the exhaust system.

About time GM bothered to get into the main small CUV segment (the Buick Encore doesn't quite count). Clearly engineered for the urban dweller who has no intend of going off pavement, especially with that "SCRAPE ME!" front bumper.

I have owned both an Encoré and a Trax and from my perspective they are quite similar. A bit bigger engine in the trax and many differences in accessories but in essence I'd say quite the same so either Trax doesn't quite count either for that segment or the encoré does.

Sooo Chevy figured out how to put fold flat seats in my 2006 HHR (the front passenger seat is slightly higher) but somehow couldn't do it with the Trax? FAIL!

Ctfu I only got the trax because I get a discount as a GM employee. Other than that, I still have my '98 Toyota running fine. GM cars can't run that long lol

That doesnt even look like it will go on a light off road trail without hitting somthing. It is based off the chevy sonic. It is NOT a tracker by any means. A tracker is a off roader. The trax isnt even close.

BlakesCars2 And the surprising part? In some countries, this is actually being called the tracker. Yeah... Considering I own a 2 door myself, nope. In the video, it looks like a suv. The trax that is. But you see it in person..it honestly isn't that much bigger than the sonic.

BlakesCars2 You obviously are not an engineer, or in this case even a student of automotive design remotely trying to understanding the Trax and the older Tracker, which is a completely different platform, underpinnings, dimensions and powertrain. The only comparison that can be made to the Trax and former Tracker is that they wear a Chevy badge, both model name starts with a “T” and each are offered with 4-doors. Other than that it’s a completely different vehicle...

a small 1.4 liter motor on a Cross Over that is today's station wagon? This is a joke of a car. It takes a small car, lifts it up on stilts and it makes it look like a cross over. It can't even take a curb never mind a light trail. Plastic front bumpers, not protection for anybody, and it's biggest feature is the internet features of the car! Engine sounds like it belongs in a motorcycle. Talk about a piece of crap! All about gadgets, not about the car.
