Do not stow the flat tire in the spare tire location.

The spare is smaller, so the flat fire is still too big to fit into the shield device under there.

Thanks for that. Did your van HAVE a spare when you bought it? I'm not sure if my van is equipped with the appropriate cable, etc as it was shipped without a spare.

if you open the sliding panel on the compartment closest to the console, and then pull out the rubber lining on the bottom of the compartment it will reveal the nut you need to turn to lower the spare.

Reverse of this process,simple understand ? Remember how do you get out of the van ? Reverse of getting in,got it ?

Hi George, Using the winch T-handle, rotate the drive nut to the right until the compact spare tire/cover assembly is drawn into place against the underside of the vehicle.
