The Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta, mouthful as it is, is the spider version of the incredible 458 Speciale. It's lighter, more powerful, and racier than stock thanks to the liberal use of carbon fiber, the lack of sound insulation, and the bare metal floors, but because this is the last naturally-aspirated mid-engined Ferrari probably ever, collector values have shot through the roof. While these cars were nearly $400,000 when new, the fact that only a few hundred were made means that today, if you want one, you're looking at $700,000+. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Only one way to find out.

john bonora Not really. Ferrari has been around for 70 years, and is easily a more lucrative, more successful car company than McLaren is right now. I will admit that McLaren makes awesome cars.

Steven Smith Personally, I like the rear end of the 488 GTB better than that of the 458 Italia and Speciale (although I prefer the way the exhausts are laid out on the 458 Italia). But, overall, I like the looks of the Speciale better than the 458 Italia and 488 GTB.

Never been a Ferrari fan (yeah, I know, what's wrong with me?!?), but your enthusiasm & joy behind the wheel of this 458 is infectious & would certainly make me want one - if I had the cash. Whilst you clearly know your cars, I appreciate that your videos really highlight the emotional experience of what it means to be a driving enthusiast, rather than just making it about numbers all the time (even though the numbers matter too). 👍🏼

I've driven the 458 on a Race track for a few laps and would own one in a second if I could afford it. The handling on Race tires is insane and the manors not on the track were like driving any normal car. I told my uncle who can afford one not to drive one or he would own one. he has Black 2015 now. Such a great car.

1984 flatnose Porsche 911 turbo please Matt. 1971 De Tomaso Pantera. 1996 Diablo. 2006 Ford GT. 918 Porsche. 2003 Enzo Ferrari. That about covers all bases within their inventory. Hey Matt if you're ever doing Santa Susanna pass again you can turn onto box canyon, it's very tight and technical with a lot elevation change, less people than the pass too. It will spit you out at Plummer on topanga canyon. Its great to see that you were in my city for a video too, keep up the great work man

Fusion that 53 Ferrari 250 Europa Is absolutely amazing! Talk about rolling art work. I normally liken Bertone vehicles. Pininfarina just nailed certain vehicles. It looks like all the Ferrari greats had a hand with this one.
